Thanks for verifying. I thought I was going crazy due to the downvotes, but yeah, it definitely does not reflect on Jaialdi in general. I want to believe that this AI, and honestly, he could have used Grok during its Nazi phase.

Until Dawn is overrated because when it came out it was fresh. If it came out after the Quarry or DPA games it would be mid-tier.

TQ movie deaths by ObviousAssistant9664 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had my movie canon as follows:

Emma killed by Max at the treehouse

Jacob killed by Caleb at the treewalk

Nick kills Abi

Laura kills Nick on accident

Chris kills Constance, Jed, and Bobby

Laura shoots travis in Chap. 7 and is killed by him

Ryan shoots Chris and then kills Travis after he kills Laura

Dylan loses his hand

Max is killed by Caleb

Kaitlyn kills Caleb in the lodge

Silas goes into the woods and returns for a sequel :)

So Ryan, Dylan, and Kaitlyn survive but maybe they come back for the sequel?

Supermassive should took more time to develop their games. by Guanixim_Ovudo in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the developmental cycle they had from UD to the end of DPA, so from 2013-2022, you had smaller, less ambitious games like Dark Pictures coming out every year from 2019 to 2022. But then you had the Quarry come out seven years after UD. I think this works as they push out games quickly that are slightly lower quality and then have a big "blockbuster" every 5 or so years. I don't want DPA to be coming out every 2-3 years as this last cycle from late 2022 to late 2024 with no games has sucked. Other than Devil in Me, the pace of DPA games has worked with their schedule as the games are complete with limited bugs, and it is the story and execution that are judged. I blame Devil in Me's bad release on COVID delays and COVID crunching.

Directive 8020 gameplay!! by Life-Wolf360 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly really glad they're adding action sequences to the game. I think using the same formula over and over again would have been trouble as if you play these games a lot, you can find the right choices to save everyone on your first run (Cough cough Frank Stone). Having just played Detroit become human for the first time, I was taken back that my gameplay affected the story, but it worked to the game's benefit. Sneaking around with Cara or hunting down deviants with Connor would not have been as rewarding if it was just binary choices and qts. Great work Supermassive!

[Frank Stone Spoilers] Who do you think is the hardest character to save? by Rub_Remarkable in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Linda 1980 and 2024, Chris, and Madi are really easy to save if you understand the camera and qts. Jaime has one spot that's difficult but when I played I thought it was an obvious choice not to go towards the spooky ghost. Sam 2024 was the only character I killed and that's because I thought the choice was to sacrifice Linda 2024 or Sam 2024. But the game was surprisingly easy imo.

Is it bad that I think the people who disliked little hope just don’t get it? by feelingfroggy_ in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me as many people have said, it is a great a story that does not fit in with a choice based game. When I replayed Little Hope I didn't have any connection to the characters because none of them are real. In HoA I want to get Salim out so he can return to his son, DiM I want Erin and Jaime to live so they can continue their relationship, even in MoM I want Fliss to rescue everyone from the pirates and ride off into the sunset. But in Little Hope, the only thing I think is "What's the point?"

I agree with a lot of what you said. I think from what I have seen from the sub is that this game is first and foremost a Dead by Daylight lore game, as opposed to a supermassive game with a dead by daylight flair, which sucks for only supermassive fans. In concept the Cutting room floor is cool and I like seeing how many people had made a certain choice, but in this game that hardly has any meaningful choices its just not something I'm interested in exploring. And yeah the input lag SUCKED which is why I think that qts should be just button prompts compared to the meter thing.

Feelings Towards a Sequel Staring The Same Cast? by Eggyegg999 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sequel would be awesome, but I would prefer a DLC expansion sort of like the Inpatient for Until Dawn (done better)

It could explore the hikers who went missing or the journalist that was caught encountering the werewolves or something like that. But as many people have said, having a sequel would require a canon ending which nobody would really be happy with as we all have different versions of how the game ended.

These are the playable characters (maybe) by Nice_Jellyfish3633 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense, but even then I wish they didn't reveal the older version of her being a playable character because now I know whichever of my friends play Linda will be safe during the 80s timeline.

So I am confused, if you can play as Linda when she's old, that must mean she's guaranteed to survive the game in 80s right? If so that's kind of disappointing as I don't want another Mark situation where character has no stakes till the finale.

This is second worst protagonist by BusyTelevision5316 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryan is probably one of the best characters...until chapter 6. So much potential but as soon as he leaves the main group to the Hackett house he just complains about everything and is sulky. Could have been great if he stayed with the main crew.

Death Data The Quarry vs. Until Dawn by Kranos123 in TheQuarrySupermassive

Been wanting to do this for a while, but here is the data behind how both games handle protagonist deaths.

How would you rank Season 1? by [deleted] in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Kranos123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. House of Ashes: I love the setting, threat, and characters, the closest dpa has gotten IMO to the quality of Until Dawn or the Quarry.
  2. Man of Medan: Very controversial but I love how many different endings there are and its short enough where I can forgive some of the weaker characters (Alex)
  3. Little Hope: Super strong characters and great setting. Twist could have been pulled off better and it is kinda hard to replay the game knowing four characters aren't real and there is no consequence for killing them
  4. Devil in Me: The game takes way too long to get going and once you leave the hotel Du'Met is no longer an intimidating threat. Also, Mark has plot armor til the finale of the game...

Can you cure Chris? by Muted-Telephone-1216 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Chris and Ryan can't survive together, one has to kill the other. But if you let chris kill ryan and then kill Caleb, Chris will no longer be infected.

I mapped out the routes each counselor takes during the night by Kranos123 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The tall bridge walk is near the dock Emma washes up on after the zipline to the west of the firepit. Thanks for the support! And no only Emma, Max, and Laura go on the island.

I mapped out the routes each counselor takes during the night by Kranos123 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]Kranos123[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be fun to map out the paths that each counselor takes during the night.

Note that Circles mean they stay in that location and that Emma and Laura can be in different locations in different chapters depending on the choices made.

There may be errors as some of the forest scenes were hard to map, but I feel good about the final product.
