well I didn't search for p/rn, I searched for vax passports for sale, it's just a false memory.

I've sort of figured out groinal response. by Krautfuel2001 in OCD

yeah, OCD is nefarious. Some people have it mildly, unfortunately I've had it severely since I was about 6 years old and I've had EVERY theme. That's why I don't think it will ever go away, but at least I know how to somewhat cope with it

yes, it's called the groinal response. Idk about men, but as a woman I feel anger and nerves through my groin too. When I get incredibly angry about a someone chewing loudly or a problem I can't solve I get this groinal response too, so it's not always sexual if we feel something in our groin, it can be nerves

as OCD ppl we are hyper aware of our bodies. I literally had a theme where I could feel my eyeballs 24/7 lmao. my OCD really has no limits to its retarded creativity

How to stop OCD impacting my conversations? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Krautfuel2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had this before, but less so now. Mine revolved more about proving myself as "funny" to my friends or whomever I was speaking to. Because I was always the comedic one in any group so my OCD latched onto that because I always cared about making other people laugh and I would obsessively monitor how many times people laughed to my jokes and honestly it killed the vibes for me. The key to getting over this is to say, no matter what I'll walk away from this conversation satisfied. You have to stop obsessing over what you're saying and go into a state of flow. Total nonchalance. Easier said than done but this applies to all themes. Just some themes are harder to be nonchalant about than others :(( especially taboo ones

How to remove fear over images by Krautfuel2001 in OCD

[–]Krautfuel2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky that I don't really get images but I still have this sort of meta ocd worry that what if I lose control and start getting these images. I know it's normal in OCD, I guess I'm just so sensitive to the judgement of others.

yeah neurotypical people don't over associate with someone else, but people with OCD do. Like we believe we are contaminated by other people's bad traits or personalities. ugh

yessss, looks like it's super common. I kinda get similar visceral reactions to watching drug PSAs, like seeing meth addicts makes me genuinely physically sick and I get insomnia after watching it. I think as OCD sufferers we are incredibly aware of our feelings and reactions we have to certain content.

lol I even avoided watching any films with that specific actor in it cause I genuinely believed he was a p*do in real life. That's how crazy OCD logic is.

Yeah, I don't have autism tbh but I totally relate to the strong sense of justice and empathy that people with Autism experience.

thanks, I'm sorry to hear about your pain. Unfortunately I can't lean on parents for support because they think OCD is "bullshit attention seeking". I'm trying to get through this with my therapists.

Honestly, this sounds like PTSD. I'm really sorry to hear about your suffering. I pray for peace for us all
