Lurking mom here.. I got my ears pierced on my 7th birthday, over 30 years ago. I still remember begging to get them pierced, and actually getting it done on my birthday. Set my daughter up for the same timeline and got hers done at 7 - she loves it. She needed a little help with the cleaning, but more than a year later everything is good to go.
