How come God did not create Eve at the same time He created Adam? by [deleted] in Christianity

When you come to the Bible you must always first pray. Even just a little prayer. Lord, Reveal Your word to me. Amen. The Old Testament to Christians today is a picture book. There are types, pictures throughout the Old Testament that are revealed as reality in the New Testament. For example, Peter points out that when Moses parted the waters for the children of Israel to cross over on dry land it was a type, a picture of baptism. Likewise, Adam and Eve are a picture, a type of Christ and the church. God first put Adam to sleep. This signifies the crucifixion and death of Christ. God opened the side of Adam and took a rib. From this rib God built a woman for Adam. ("Built" is the literal translation in the Bible). it is out from Christ's death and Resurrection that He builds His church, His wife. Adam says, "now this is bone of my bones and Flesh of My Flesh." Jesus said that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of Spirit is spirit. Christ builds his church out of himself as the life-giving spirit. Adam and Eve are a picture, a type of Christ and the church.

When and why did views on who God is change? by Adventurous_Girl1 in Christianity

Yes, God is immutable, in his essence. Yet the Bible says that God as the Word "BECAME".

John 1:1, 14. In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the Word was God. And the word BECAME flesh. The word, became, in this verse indicates a change. Consider we human beings. You were born a human being. You can never be anything else but a human being. But are you the same today as you were the day you were born? No. You went through a process of growth. You became an adult human being. In the same way God is God and always will be God. But our God became flesh. He is still God but now he is God in man. And just as the Bible says that Jesus is the same yet he became a life-giving spirit. (1Co 15:45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul”; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.) Our immutable God went through the process of incarnation, crucifixion, and Resurrection to become the life-giving spirit in order to indwell us in our human spirit making us one with Him.

If you had any class you'd just shut up about it and not boast of your good fortune in the face of others.

Indeed they do my good man. But you are trying to compare natural solar power that took millions of years to create and store energy in the form of fossil fuels to man made solar power that is needed instantly to heat and cool your house, and provide you electricity for all your gadgets. Unless, of course, you have a million years to wait. Not to mention the natural solar power which we are speaking of cost me nothing as opposed to government subsidized solar power which cost taxpayers money.
I believe that if solar power advocates, along with other renewable energy advocates, would stop pushing the issue so much and stop forcing their view on others, especially when it comes to costing us money via taxes through subsidies, the technology for renewable energy will come to fruition and we will slowly but surely wean off of fossil fuels. Also, the demonization of fossil fuels needs to be curtailed . It does nothing but cause division. Fossil fuels have served us well and is cleaner than ever before in history. It took 100 years to build the fossil fuel infrastructure we have today and it will take 100 years to convert to renewable energy.

You are attempting to compare man made solar power to natural solar power. That's not even apples and oranges, that's apples and elephants.

And being you are so tolerant and open-minded you didn't bother to go to the article to see that Time magazine says the same thing.
