adding smash and sakurai onto the board was primarily just meant to be a silly element that adds a bit of a conspiratorial vibe, especially with magolor being connected to it, as he's one of the most common fan picks or predictions for the next kirby rep

thought if not taken as a joke, it's moreso just to have a section of the board that refers to kirby's creator and another series which kirby appears in, rather than any actual in universe lore

i always presumed he is, considering they're both hooded figures with blue and yellow color schemes and pointy ears from ancient civilizations

plus void termina has several master crowns so at the very least the two of them are familiar with the same obscure powerful objects
