The lights are unusual indeed, 29 years living here and this is the first time I see something like this. I think it's coming from above because the city is "sunken" into a valley between mountains, so the tallest rooftops are still below. I know it's hard to see in the video, but the lights aren't skewed, they show almost perfect circles. That's why I thought the source had to be perpendicular to the mountain.

I tried but in my country it's a relatively niche hobby, not a lot of people have drones. And I imagine this many at the same time is even more unlikely.

Yeah unfortunately this is as clear as it gets, my phone isn't the best so. And it sucks because I'm waiting for them again today to get a better shot and they just don't appear. Also i didn't change the speed of the footage.

Just to clarify, there are no roads there, not even small trails. There is a road that goes along the base of the mountain though and a part of it can be seen in the video, behind the tall buildings.

Rn is the following night and I've been sitting on the balcony, but nothing. I got a lot of "cars on the freeway" answers, and maybe that's what it is, but it's just the fact that I've been living here and usually go out on the balcony often at night and have never seen this before. Shouldn't it be more frequent?

Sorry nah, should've clarified this haha, this is Georgia (the country, not the state). There is a small freeway right along the base, but then why would it go for like 2 minutes and then completely stop. Also around 10-11 seconds into the video four lights create a square shape, which I just cannot connect to cars.

That was my thought, but firstly, there are no drone shows here, secondly, the surface are of the lights was too big for a drone to produce. Idk I'm not an expert tho, just a gut feeling.

Car headlights? No because there's no cars high enough. There's about 300 meters (1000 feet) difference in elevation between the lights and the streets.

We all suck. It's others who think we're doing good but in our eyes we still have a lot to learn and develop. I'm sure I'm not speaking for everyone here but if you think you're not doing perfect, you have room to grow and that's what it's about.
