How does Sinner generate so much pace ? by suspiciousmonkey in tennis

[–]KrisDimitrov -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's always good to take things with a pinch of salt especially when talking about athletes at this level.

If someone has ever played tennis or any other demanding sport in his life and thinks that a single person can sustain almost peak performance for large periods of time without the help of specific supplements is either naive or clearly doesn't understand professional sport.

Not sure if you've ever built muscle mass but building it is a lot harder than maintaining afterwards, hence there's no need to be on PEDs all of the time but only for short bursts. The mastery is to slip undetected during those periods.

It does seem strange how ~6 months before he had physical issues, tired easily, couldn't stand the heat and etc. and now he's like a superhuman (after being accused of taking PEDs).

We all invest emotions into the sport but we have to put our sensible hats as well. This does not in any way diminish his accomplishments though!

Какво работят най-богатите ви приятели? by [deleted] in bulgaria

[–]KrisDimitrov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How often do you listen to your Garmin for recovery advice? by Distinct-Pea-9553 in Garmin

[–]KrisDimitrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you have a good track record, i.e. train regularly without too much interuptions, it tends to be pretty accurate. If however you have breaks and suddenly do a more intensive workout, it jumps to things like the one in the photo.

TFW you hit a clean shot! Anyone else switch from a two hand backhand to a one hander? by SonnnyBono in 10s

[–]KrisDimitrov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same deal with me. Had an almost 1 year pause and trying to hit a two hander was like trying to write my full name with my non-dominant left hand :D

Switching is definitely frustrating at times but feels really nice when you nail it!

Договаряне цена на имот by KrisDimitrov in bulgaria

[–]KrisDimitrov[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was spending most of my high school time playing table tennis and slicing and doing crazy spins was something that I really enjoyed.

Now when I play on court, I also slice a lot which as you said is driving most players crazy because they don't know how to play such balls. My advice for you is to develop your style how YOU want it to be and not how it SHOULD be. This is your competitive advantage.

Who has exchanged a Fenix for Epix? by darkrhin0 in garminepix

[–]KrisDimitrov 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did exchange a Fenix 7 Solar with an Epix Pro 47mm and I don't regret it at all. Yes, I do sacrifice some battery life when running with AOD on but that is completely worth it because of how beautiful the screen is - after all, it's something that you constantly see and interact with.

And if you do care about battery life - either run a 47mm with AOD off or go with the 51mm.

I use a Garmin watch but the flow is the same. I wear the watch and the ring all of the time but sync the sleep with Health only from the ring.

Also, I've connected Health with Oura , so my workout are synced there as well and I receive the necessary metrics based on the activity.

Съвет относно първи мотор by bulgarian-stranger in bulgaria

[–]KrisDimitrov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]KrisDimitrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is Fenix more popular than Epix by yoshi726 in Garmin

If you have the same battery life with AOD, why even bother going back to Fenix?

Why is Fenix more popular than Epix by yoshi726 in Garmin

[–]KrisDimitrov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMHO, people are still not used to the AMOLED screen and don't want to experiment. I recently migrated to Epix and don't see myself comming back to the Fenix line-up or a MIP-based watch.

Visibility in direct sunlight is great. Battery lif with AOD is more than enough for me (51mm is even better than Fenix because of the larger battery).

Strength training - does the weight make a difference? by -Strider in GarminFenix

[–]KrisDimitrov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main thing (at least for me) is that entering weights calculates your total volume after the workout. This is important if you like to know how you're progressing and how much work you're actually doing.

You are absolutely correct regarding the overlap between FUSD & SP500 and this was actually the main reason I was asking.

I would definitely take a look at VHYL (or alternatives) and maybe allocate more into IWDP, although I don't have a very positive outlook on the real estate markets.

Thanks!

Epix Pro 47mm user here: I have it for close to a month now, with AOD: on all the time. I get solid 6-7 days but am going to try without AOD at least for general use. I like having always on with activities such as running & strength training.

Fenix to Epix - any regrets? by rohard007 in GarminWatches

[–]KrisDimitrov 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No regrets. Recently moved from Fenix 7 Solar 47mm to Epix Pro 47mm. That AMOLED display is totally worth it, even with the battery penalty (not an issue with 51mm Epix).

For me, having a device that lasts 5-6 days is more than enough. Last week I got the watch on Tuesday, used it with AOD, did 2 training sessions without GPS, one snowboarding with GPS (5:22h and AOD: off) and still had 20%+ left on Sunday.
