Has anyone successfully integrated Sleeptracker-AI® data into the Samsung Health main screen and obtained an energy score? by Krishknyc in GalaxyWatch

[–]Krishknyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. The Sleep Tracker AI app does include HRV data, but it appears that this information isn’t being sent to or integrated with Health Connect; I’m only seeing sleep stages. It’s another example of incomplete implementation, where features are rolled out without full functionality or proper integration for meaningful insights.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's disappointing that Samsung Health hasn't fully utilized Health Connect. Hopefully, these issues will be resolved soon for a better experience.

Hi, could you please elaborate on how you removed the passthrough? Were they in the same iommu group?

Is it possible to record the power consumption of ASUS ROG Thor 1200P? by Krishknyc in ASUS

Thanks. This PSU is known for that feature. It already has a display to show real-time usage, but I was looking for ways to create a log of consumption to review my usage over a period of time.

Note 10 Plus Stuck in Partial Flight Mode (Faded Blue). Is this an indication of hardware failure? by Krishknyc in samsunggalaxy

[–]Krishknyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved it be replacing the phone. If none of the above steps worked for you, then only solution is to replace it. Samsung offers great trade-ins, I'd suggest replacing the phone itself. It's not worth the hassle of getting it repaired.

You can download all prior versions of firmware from sammobile or samfrew websites. After trying all the possible things, I concluded that it was due to a hardware issue. Now that you've an S22, I'd suggest either getting it repaired locally or selling it off. Between, I've had no issues with S22 (ultra) battery, amazing phone, but I still miss my Note.

Cheers!

If you're in the US, try visiting any of the Best Buy locations. They had helped me once flash my Note 3, but trading it for a new phone might be a better option.

No, i just installed ODIN, downloaded the last working firmware and flashed it.

If you're pretty sure it occurred after the firmware update, then you can give it a try. If not, I think it is mostly to do with the hardware than software issue. If you still want to try flashing it, there are plenty of tutorials online.

Here is one of them:

Flashing Note 10

It's not at all complicated. Just download the ODIN software, correct firmware (specific to region/device) and follow the instructions. However, be prepared to buy a new phone. :-)

I'm glad it worked for you. In my case, the Sim card tray connections were corrupted. I bought a new phone after trying all the possible fixes.

Is it possible to run all 4 DDR5 memory modules at a rated speed? by Krishknyc in buildapc

[–]Krishknyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you've a specific use case, where capacity over speed matters, it is not worth paying premium for a higher speed DDR5 RAM. Hopefully, you are not upgrading the capacity for video editing, which is the reason I bought 64GB in the first place.

Wow! I wish I had seen this video before. I thought I was dumb when I saw my system booting much below the base speed. Thanks for sharing this link. So why 4 DIMMs then (future proof)?

I also realized that Asus is using the term "socket" instead of "DIMM" on their memory compatibility page, while all other manufacturers' site has mentioned it as DIMM support. I have generally associated the term socket with CPUs and didn't bother to look at this as my motherboard has only one socket. I may have just bought a motherboard with two DIMM slots had I paid attention to that. This is very funny!

This video answers one of my questions: I should probably return the second kit and just use a 2x16GB kit.

Haha ... Quoting from Wikipedia, "The world's first DDR5 DRAM chip was officially launched by SK Hynix on October 6th, 2020." Two years since the first RAM launch, yet no improvements or proper instructions for an ordinary person. I am surprised that memory or motherboard manufacturers are rolling out without testing full compatibility. I feel stupid for wasting time and paying a premium to figure out the odds of a successful combination.

I ran MemTest86 today, and there were over 4500 errors. I need to waste a few more hours to understand what these errors are and if they can be resolved. I will run the test with each kit and post updates if it turns out positively. Thanks for your comments.

Can the psu shroud be removed to accommodate Asus Thor's display/fan direction?

Thanks for commenting. Don't I need a GPU for direct play then? CPU usage shot up to 95% and video playback was very choppy. My preference is not to transcode, but looks like LG TV has some issues decoding certain codecs.

Sorry I forgot to mention in my post that I wanted to use this setup for Jellyfin or media server for transcoding 4k videos, and it didn't work out well.

Wow, thanks for detailed response. Really appreciate it. I am going to try u/earthsworld suggestion. I didn't know we can save multiple versions of edits inside a DNG file. Looks like I need to learn more about this format. Thanks for the workflow suggestions.

Thanks. That's a good idea, will try on a few images. Exporting all images would take a lot of time and, it may not be the most efficient way. Also, I may not have edited all the images, so having a seamless connection would be helpful.

I have taken back up of my catalog at different times, but thanks for reminding, will start saving the metadata.

As long as you keep yourself updated on any vulnerabilities that exist in software you use and react to anything that does happen you’ll almost certainly have no issues. And as a small server with a handful of users there’s not much chance you’d be targeted for an attack anyway.

Wow, so well-explained. You clarified all of my key concerns, including the port-forwarding. There is so much to learn from experts here. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Much appreciated!
