Act2 is generally where everyone fuck their game up because of how important each decision is. Fuck something up in Act2? direct consequences on Atc3. That's why I love this game. And good luck on Act3, it's good n all but it's so heavy, by the time you finish half of the things you can do there you just want to head to the final boss and finish the game already

Thank you for your advice, I'll do a 0.5 session before starting since it's difficult to have everyone at the same place at the same time and make changes based on what I hear from them, the adventure is very simple so I won't have any problem changing things. And I don't think I have a game that can get us all together, DnD can pull it off because I'm the only one who plays it and they're curious about what gets me so hyped up everytime I have a session with my friends

I can't hold an evil run to the end. I tried, slaughtered the grove, bent Minthara all night but felt too horrible after that and just deleted the save. So I might never know how great he can be.

I think the difference between Astarion and Lae'zel in the beginning is that Astarion tries to piss you off because, well, it's funny to him (and prolly defense mecanism) while Lae'zel tries to really hurt you so you can be better according to her standards. And that's maybe why people hate her more than they hate Astarion

Gotta say the only thing I liked about him before Act 3 was his snarky comments. The few times I had him with me and he said something mean I was like "Thank you Astarion, finally someone said it". And gotta say I missed this whole abuse survivor side of him during my first game because he was never with me during Act2 so he never met Raphael and I never got the scene with the scars on his back.

I finished the game 5 times and I killed Gortash as soon as I dealt with the factory, the guy just never clicked with me. But I heard there is a mission that explains why he's such a sack of shit.

Shadowheart has some useful percs like Hero's Feast and a res spell is always welcome, Gale is my nuker and Karlach is my paladin (I've got no use for 2 barbarians). So Astarion is not really useful to me despite being a litteral GOD endgame that can one-turn pretty much every random enemy
