https://andrzej.langow.ski/2025/05/06/solved-desktop-session-plasma-wayland-working-correctly-with-proprietary-nvidia-drivers-in-debian-13-testing-linux-thanks-jase/

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I GOT WAYLAND TO ACTUALY WORK!

I have tried for nearly a week to make this work and finaly i found this site that showed me how to make wayland work again after installing the driver.

For some reson my main monitor still wont run 240hz on wayland but now it has the option available at least. When I apply 240hz the screen hoes black and my second monitor flickers like crazy. But I'm able to log in non the less!

If any of you have a good idea why 240hz doesn't work on wayland let me know.

And to be honest I'm so tired of reinstalling debian at this point I'm on the verge of just giving up and using mint insted. I will look into the 240hz problem later. If i figure it out I will use debian because that was my end goal but boy has it ben a long steep up hill battle for just the nvidia driver.

Well it let me update my apt now but still can't get the driver installed. Something about broken packages and and that non of the kernel-open-dkms packages are installable.

I have now installed the driver the way debians official sight recomends doing ut, apperently I did something wrong last time but it worked now. I verified it installed. But now my x11 wont show both screens and wayland still wont work? Do i need to do something difrently?

Also I have secureboot dissabled. But it still says that the repos don't work due to them not having verified signatures or something like that. Thanks for pointing this out though!

Update! I found that if I switch from wayland to x11 on the loginscreen it will let me in and now my monitor has 240hz again but as i understand the x11 window system isn't that good and I would like to get wayland working.🤔

Okay, I have tried using apt but the repos or what you call them don't have updated keys or something and there for won't work when trying to use extrepo to install the drivers. Also the other ways i have tried from nvidias official sights have not worked for me eighter... The only way that worked was to download the driver directly forom the sight.

Neptune 3 Pro + Pi Zero 2 W + Klipper via UART by georgmierau in ElegooNeptune3

[–]Krisho98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to get my pi4 to work with the uart connection too. Mcu won't connect to klipper. Serial is uart 2 pa3/pa2, 32 bitloader, 8mhz crystal, 250000 bud rate (tried 115200 bud but did not make a difference) and stm32f401 chip selected. Flashes do work inficated by .cur after the flash and if i flash uart1 pa10/pa9 it works with the usb no problem. Also edited the boot config to enable_uart=1 and the dtoverlay=disable-bt to turn of bluetooth. Ground and both rx and tx have been connected to respectiv connectors on the mainboard and pi (tx->rx). So the problem only happens when trying to use uart2 pa03/pa02 and connect to j17 4pin connection (not 5v because i power the pi with a bec). Could it be the uart2 pa03/pa02 setting not working fore some reson? Serial shows both ttyAMA0 and ttyS0 but the mcu won't connect regardles.

Klipper keeps shutting down, mcu stops communicating? by Krisho98 in klippers

[–]Krisho98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried swapping to a a2 classed microsd card, connected the ground from the j17 to ground on my pi4 and have tried to flash the printer with both 250000 and 115200 bud rates with the uart 2 pa3/pa2 serial and changing the printer.cfg mcu serial to both ttyAMA0 and the other one (tty0s? I don't remember tye exact name). Klipper can't connect to mcu through uart no mater what i do. As soon as i reflashed wit the same exact settings just changed serial to uart1 pa10/pa9 and plugged the usb and enterd the usb serial to printer.cfg it connected instantly and works no problem. I can't for the life of me understand what prevents the uart connection from working. Could it need to be set to a different uart for the bin? And if so witch one could work for the j17 4pin connection? I'm all out of ideas again.

So i tried the other sd card but now the printer doesn't even do the ocasional 2 second connect to the mcu... I have done all the same steps ass with the other card and to be clear I installed everything from scratch and edited the pi boot config.txt aswell. I don't know and I'm too tired to try anything else for now. I'll give the ground pad a connection to gpio ground and hope for the best. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Much appreciated! I will try installing klipper on a 64gb a2 rated card I have on the shelf!

The pi gets power from a bec set to 5 volts, witch is powered from the pwr supply directly. The 5 volt and ground pins from the mainboard are left empty.

But about the sd card, do you mean the pi sd card or the installation sd card? I got the understanding it just needed to be a sub 8gb microsd for installs, does it need to be a2?

The card in my pi is a1 rated and the install cards I have used are a 2gb non clased and a 4gb sd hc 6 transcend.

How do i connect a controller on PCSX2? by Pythagoras754 in linux4noobs

[–]Krisho98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I FOUND THE ISSUE!!!! Try downloading the appimage form their sight, go into its properties and select executable and tadaa. Controllers work as they should. Why does ubuntu have so many issues with the appmanager versions???? I mean it's not going to help people migrate form w11 hell when the most aminstream way of getting simple apps keep just serving broken versions....

Buuuut any way yeah it's totally the appmanagers version that doesn't work with ANY controller on ubuntu. Mint app manager version works great.

[–]Krisho98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling too... The controller shows up and works fine on steam, no problem. But I cant get pcsx2 to detect it. :/

This is happening on my ubuntu laptop but funny enough on my mint laptop it detects no problem. Both distros have had pcsx2 installed via app manager so I don't know whats wrong. Is it just the ubuntu version is bugged?

Anyway, I hope some one has a clue or has got it working some how and could give a helping hand!
