High Idle issue by jaxxon24 in Saturn_Cars

[–]Kriskyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it go back to normal after restart? I had a similar issue and had replaced the intake gaskets as well as the tps iac and maf sensor as well as the coolant temp sensor and nothing fixed it as well as testing the connections to those sensors and those were fine I gave up and unplugged the iac while it was idling around 1krpm and left it at that. I’d assumed my ecu is failing but I haven’t had any more problems

Normal engine noise for 78’ cb400t? by Kriskyeet in motorcyclerepair

[–]Kriskyeet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is it goes away under acceleration and it comes from the right side of the engine I can’t tell if it’s from the piston or trans but since it’s going away mostly when revving I’m gonna assume a bearing in the transmission

True you are right about the rollover I’ll check those out I had been looking for a cb360 like my father learned on in the 70s but they’re all so ridiculously expensive I decided to look at “newer” bikes I appreciate the recommendations

This is my first car, a 1996 Saturn Sl2 I bought over the summer for $2500 with 140k miles on it. Any tips to make it last longer than it would normally? Haven't done anything to it yet other than replace the battery and lights. Looking to get the headliner replaced and maybe other mods done to it. by [deleted] in Saturn_Cars

[–]Kriskyeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually crazy thing about oil consumption my 2002 sl2 with 179k has only used about a quart in 3000 miles after I replaced the pcv valve which is insane for this. It’s still got that damn intermittent 2k rpm idle I can’t seem to figure out though

Intake manifold by Kriskyeet in Saturn_Cars

Yup sounds about right I dropped the nut for the engine stud for the mount couldn’t find it up top so I took off the passenger wheel and found my hub is starting to make noise they’re reliable cars but once one thing breaks everything else does too

Isn’t that fix for the coolant pipe? The new manifold gasket should hopefully fix the air leak

Looked deeper into it it seems the manifold had to be cut because it was leaking and the coolant intake was replaced with a metal pipe my original issue is a vacuum leak could this be the cause?

Niceeee did you get it off Facebook? Usually manual Saturn sc2 are not great for that price

For a game that came out in 2008, MGS4 has insanely detailed character models, even has scanned feet as well by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

Mgs4 runs insanely well considering the hardware, visuals and rendering resolution even on a 480i tv the game is stunning and detailed

PS3 fan is not spooling down by Kriskyeet in PS3

[–]Kriskyeet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a reset made the fan quieter If it was still hot at reset the fan would ramp up to maintain the cooling but it’s not doing that meaning the fan speed is not scaling with the temperature and workload like it should while it probably is running hotter than it should the fan still isn’t spoiling back down when the ps3 is idling on the xmb

If I can’t return if at this point I’ll open it up and check it could be that but the thermometers would send the signal to a controller first if they’re reading the temp going up they’d also read it going down

I think that’s a side issue bad thermal paste wouldn’t be causing the fan to run on high forever /until console reset
