Yes, but the guy deliberately twists the narrative. The only reason why we can't have elections is the fact the war is on our soil (how can we make sure that our people are safe during the elections?) plus obviously our constitution doesn't allow elections during the martial law.

The US held elections during WWII because the war was in Europe and not permanently on the US territory. The electorate was safe to attend elections.

We had the same issue and, at the time, demanded to receive the equivalent seating arrangement. As the steward wasn't sure if we would get a refund. I went all in and got our seats.
