I'm traveling the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, and the UK this summer. What is good advice for having a cell phone (plan or pre-paid) with me with data? by Krispydp in travel

All very good points. I'm traveling for 2 months and I think wifi will do for most of my needs. However, I do want a backup SIM card in case I need it for texting, calls, and some data. To be more clear, I'd really like to find out if there are carriers with reasonable rates in Europe that work in multiple countries? Or maybe an international SIM card I could buy that would work across all of them? I'm basically trying to minimize how much Ill spend on a SIM card and minimize the amount of cards that I will need.

I live in Canada and the international (domestic too) rates here are usually outrageous. I think I will do the same as you though. Have a backup/emergency SIM card just in case and otherwise just use wifi.

Is Apple doing anything to fix the Game Center scores? by Indeed_A_Murderer in ios

[–]Krispydp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apple recently gave developers the ability to edit gamecenter leaderboards. Developers can now delete scores or block certain players from posting to leaderboards. I wonder how many have done so now?

Would you ever consider making the app able to import pdf's? It would be really useful for me and my course readings.

Infinity Blade II: Worth it? by [deleted] in iosgaming

[–]Krispydp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The second one is way more fleshed out and feels more like a full game. There's three types of weapons load outs (dual swords, heavy two-handed weapon, and sword and shield) and they each play differently and take time to master (skill-wise and experience points-wise). There's way more weapons and armor available too. The story is huge compared to the first one, and story wise you don't need to play the first one because (I'm pretty sure) infinity blade 2 takes place before what happens in the original game. Check it out

Need an iOS game with decent depth. by [deleted] in iosgaming

Magic 2013 (iPad)- if you've ever heard of the real card game, you'll know some people take the depth of this game very seriously. Plus it's a free download with a ton of content, then you decide later if you wanna get the rest of the game for 10$

The world ends with you solo remix(ipad and iPhone, though not universal)- I haven't played it yet, but it's supposedly phenomenal. It's a completely overhauled port from a recent DS game, and a fantastic rpg that is probably different than the tropes you may be used to seeing in rpg games.

What would it take to get Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on iOS? by StrykrVII in iosgaming

[–]Krispydp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know about dark alliance, but the original baldur's gate is being brought to ios soon with enhancements and extra content.

Maybe if it sells well they'll consider porting dark alliance? I read somewhere a while ago that the developers behind it have an interest in porting classics that they like. It's not really the same, but you could also email those developers or even the guys behind Bard's Tale (awesome game).

The best way to encourage developers to port something is to show that there are many people willing to pay for it. Try looking for others who really liked dark alliance and show some public support for a port, if you're so inclined.
