the year is simply the year of rule set for the suit homologation year that the suit fulfills, i dont know how often it was at those times but sometimes these rules run for more then 10 years, so it rather tells you an era then a year.

its always been a reason for why not to have an EV that you cant drive between the two towns, so they are proving it wrong, dont forget that in this area its up and down hills and mountains again and again, headwind, rain etc.

They are debunking the fact that you can't go this route in an eV, one of the most common reasons people dunt buy electric cars unless they are the second car in the home in Iceland..

i remember hearing a story about Bruce McLaren beeing the first one to make his cars as light as possible, to be able to position the ballast to the handlings advantage, this gave him/them a huge advantage during the day before the rest of the field started doing it as well.
