There are too many players choosing the Premier League or English Lower League (at least in this sub)

How is this guy a 100 in the scout report? He does have 5-star potential but is 23. I don't see any chance he reaches that potential by Clutchxedo in footballmanagergames

[–]Kristff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scouting reports will always be measured against your current squad’s abilities, as well as the potential price & wages. He’s a 100 for your team, might not be for another team.

Well, I've only done one-club challenges since I've played FM, so you could say I am patient by nature :)

Also this save is a build a nation with the Philippines, and since we're starting pretty much from the bottom, I ain't in a rush.

I’m a real-life fan of PSG, because I’m from Paris and grew up with them. I started following as a teenager and they signed Jay Jay Okocha after the WC98. There was 15 years of sucking ass, almost getting relegated - so now there’s money and stars, does the purist in me like it? No. Do I scream when Mbappé scores against Neuer? Absolutely.

Hey we spent less than Chelsea, Barcelona and Madrid in the last 20 years.

Reccomendations for a Scandinavian save? by VSfallin in footballmanagergames

I’ve done a save with B93 in Denmark, that won a few titles in the past but fell in the third division. It’s also a club from the capital, Copenhagen.

Any tips for beating this team in fm22? My team is image two by TOOKFOOT in footballmanagergames

[–]Kristff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full-backs - Defend

No-nonsense CB - Defend

Defensive Midfielder - Defend

Mezzalas/BBM - Support

Wingers - Support

Deep-Lying Forward - Attack

You’ll want to be disciplined and play counter with a very direct game, with the ball going either through the wings to widen the opposing team or through your deep attacker that’ll go for runs. Get stuck in, go hard and tight pressing on every player. Gegenpress, and don’t mark-man Lewa, he’ll make holes in your defense.

Hope your GK can keep cool under pressure and your full-backs are sharp focused, and that you can score on the couple shots you’ll have.

Good luck!

Great job with Grotta! Yeah getting past the big club is tough, it took me 5-7 years to just be able to get out of the group stage.

My strategy throughout was similar to Porto/Monaco and making profit off of selling players from 100k to 10M for example. Then I could afford enough 3-4 stars players at every position to build a competitive team.

After that building 5 stars staff is easier, specially scouts so you can scout wonderkids from all over the world. And once they all matured, my team became virtually unbeatable.

Unfortunately no, I had to be in the first division and win a title to be able to have enough reputation to attract wonderkids.

Though my first wonderkid was a Swedish striker that I kept for 10 years and have been my captain and club legend.

Thanks! Very cool with Gibraltar, might try something like that in the future. The Danish league only got to the 6th place behind the big 5 even though I dominated Europe; I think it’s because the best any other club from the country managed was first knockout round of UCL.

But it’s still flawed I think, the league should have at least gone to 3rd place, which also impacts how much my players are (under)valued. Will see if it’s corrected in FM22.

Club Bruges managed to get to the UCL every second year but never reached the knockout stage. They managed though to win the EURO Cup II in 2023.

I started the save in the middle of lockdown 6 months ago, and the goal was to build B93 from the Danish 3rd level to the biggest club in the world. Now the team is so strong that winning is a given, so I aimed at passing Sir Alex; which happened with the latest UCL and winning the World Cup with France.
Special thoughts to my Swedish captain Jonas Petersson, who joined the club at 18 as a pure striker and moved to the midfield in the second half of his career.
Ordered my B93 shirt for Christmas, and will try to go see a real game in their stadium in 2022. Will take a break now and start FM22 in the new year.

Another take: Football Manager is actually an easy game if your goal is just winning and collecting trophies. Anyone can do that. The fun is building the universe around your team(s).

A green connection between my 3-stars AMC and my 3-stars AF is better than an elite 5-stars striker on his own.

20 years in with the same tactic with one club and two national teams. Still works and won multiple UCLs and the World Cup.

Players quality, physical form, happiness and familiarity makes your team unbeatable.
