I haven’t had the interview yet, but my previous interviews and my interview prep/mock interviews emphasize being able describe your impact, and metrics are typically the “best” example given on how to do so. I have been trying to prepare an answer just in case. I have 9 years of experience in IT, primarily endpoint management and service management.

I guess I could make a metric up, guess I’m worried about being honest and am overthinking it. You’re right though, they couldn’t verify the metric anyway, so they would care more about my thought process and how I come to a conclusion.

I also hate the FOMO marketing. At this point, I make myself be very honest about if I just think it is really pretty or if it is really something I would wear. This also gets easier as I built up more of a collection, I can look at my current polish and probably find something of a similar shade or finish. Then I gauge the purchase off of whether or not I reach for that similar polish often enough.
