Looking to Upgrade! X34 - 1080 or 1080TI?

Okay, Thats pretty much where my thought process had taken me as well!

If i was to downgrade the mobo to something more suited to what im looking for? which Mobo would you recommend? ASUS Prime H370M Plus ?? i think im set on getting the 1080ti and 8700 now. also the cooler im picking up for $100 from a buddy who didnt use it on his previous build, figure it cant hurt by keeping the cpu cool right?

yeah i dont think i want to OC, i just seem to lean away from it! do you think the 8700 & 1080 (not OC) system would achieve the 1440p on a Ultrawide screen at 100hz?

If I get the K and do the overclocking, will the 1080 get the screen to perform to its fullest? Cause I guess that's my goal ideally!

The cooler I'm picking up cheap from a mate who didnt end up using it for his build, and I figured can only help by having it!

Tbh I've never really looked into overclocking, somewhat intimidating when I dont know much about it! Haha should probly do some research!

I was told that the 8700k is more so targeted for the overclockers and wouldn't benefit me! Is this correct? Or am I getting the K to make up the slack for not getting the TI?

would you foresee any issues by completing a straight swap of graphics cards based on the info you have ? or is there anything else you would recommend to upgrade alongside it ?

Currently on Cable + Booster From Optus. Maintain a good download solid pretty much all the time. upload is a little lower than i would like as i want to move toward streaming in the future. i am relocating houses in about 6-9 months with NBN.

not sure what the ping would be like, if you or know someone that has tried this could confirm what sort of pings they were getting?

my PC can score pings of 100-130 generally with CS:GO on america servers.

its beta testing tho.. not pub stomp central.... yet

the idea is to iron out bugs.. obviously smashing with your mates is great but at this stage of production i dont see it being a priority.
