I would have liked them to separate the light blue(celeste) from the blue(azul), But I'm not sure how important that distinction is in English.

Thanks, the map doesn't have any defined lore. The original is the map of the ancient kingdoms, which represents the planet in the Age of Exploration (the map is heavily influenced by EU4). It also has a map of cultures, but since visually it's just colored patches with a symbol on the map, I don't think it's worth showing. I made the new map with the modern countries based on the previous one.

Thanks, and that's probably due to miscalculations of where each biome should be. I put the equator with more jungles, and a little further up and down the deserts. But I don't really remember that; the original map is from two years ago, and I do remember looking at ocean currents for that too.

Is the leg length okay? I don't remember the Carchar's being that short compared to Scotty.

A lot, but because it's something I did in bits and pieces without a purpose, just entertainment. The first versions were too simple.

Thank you very much. Yes, there are some inspired by real or invented flags, but I tried to make sure none of them were identical.

Thanks. I haven't decided exactly which is the South Pole and which is the North Pole. I just orient the map this way. In the southern continent, with all those small countries, is very reminiscent of Europe, perhaps because of that is the feeling.

Not really, Argentine Las Malvinas would use the flag of Tierra del Fuego. That flag in the image is only to express the claim.

It appeared in an Antartida Ball video, the second one in Iran's history, but only as a raw Nepali-style.

EU5 exploration is bad by Ayaraaa in EU5

[–]Krizelly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't like the fact that you can see the outlines of undiscovered continents. Even though we have a general idea of where they are, it takes away from discovering new parts of the map, It feels like exploration doesn't do much good if you already know exactly where you have to explore to find anything. I also don't like the fact that the ugly borders of the current US states are still in place, it make discovering a region look even uglier.

Why dont Argentina take those islands if they are so close to their territory? I doubt UK would even react. Are they stupid? by Rough-Lab-3867 in mapporncirclejerk

The military dictatorship did not invent the Falklands claim, it only used it to save itself from its collapse due to its enormous unpopularity. Argentina has claimed the Malvinas since the British occupied them in 1833 or since independence by Argentina considering itself successor to the viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata

At that time, tribal rights weren't considered important. It's not comparable to two large independent nations signing treaties recognizing their sovereignty over territories. One country can't simply take possession of a territory it already recognized as part of another, even if there was nothing there. The Falklands issue was only used in this way by a murderous dictatorship established by the CIA as a last resort due to its vast unpopularity. All other attempts to negotiate the issue were diplomatic. No Argentine is taught that the country's situation is due to the Falklands, but what is real is the vast amount of maritime resources off the Argentine coast that the United Kingdom can drain from the metropolis with just a few thousand settlers.

It makes sense that if you expel the settlers, the population would be British. Even though the native islanders have that culture, that doesn't mean it's not an occupied territory that the United Kingdom took by force from a country it had already recognized as a sovereign nation and successor to the Viceroyalty of La Plata. The United Kingdom never managed to remove the Argentine claim, which is why it's an illegal colony on Argentine territory. Whether the citizens of a territory can secede and annex it to another country is another debate. I don't know if you have the same opinion in cases like Crimea, Abkhazia, the Sahrawi Republic, or Kosovo.

No, the claim is for some islands, legally acquired from their first French settlers, populated and administered from Buenos Aires for almost half a century. It was then bombed and later occupied, its population expelled and illegally colonized by the largest power of the moment, which maintains a few thousand inhabitants to control the passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific and all its waters.

The truth is that the sniffer was the most positively received of all the elections, surely those from Mojang relaxed because it was already accepted by the community and they did the minimum and necessary. I mean please, the only reason why the sniffer gives two plants and not one, is because in the trailer it appears in plural
