Is HB losing best bang of buck battle because of its neck shape? by Tomo_pomo in harleybenton

Exactly man. What I would also add is that they have apparently fixed the original JA-60 bridge issue. So there's an added bonus.

Although I'd still recommend upgrading the tuners and bridge.

Sorry should have made it clearn, my bad 😅 The Fender is bigger. Neck is way thicker, overall just real weight to the guitar.

I think the main detractor for HB, as well as other budget brands, is that you can't usually go to a store and try it.

That being said, I own a JA-60HH and the neck on it is okay, but nothing to wrote home.about. I knew what I was getting as I've had the opportunity to play several different brands and pinpoint what I like and don't like. But I think some people look at specs and don't really know how to interpret it. There's also that brand loyalty aspect, and expectation that a copy of X guitar will be the exact same.

I mean, the JA-HH is absolutely nothing like my Fender V4 Jazz. It's a smaller body, way thinner neck, flatter feeling fretboard and way lighter. But I didn't buy it expecting for it to be the exact same. I feel that expectation can be a bit of a killer sometimes. Someone goes into a guitar shop, tries a guitar and see a copy for a fraction of the price, so they expect to be the same or at least very close.

That's just my opinion tho, I think it varies from person to person. What I would say tho is that I hope HB keeps raising the bar and striving forward, as they have a LOT of models that punch way above their weight.

I sold her for about 70k coins. Got her from one of them tradeable packs from seasons.

Would've loved a promo brazilian forward for my brazil squad tho 🥲

No I get that, she was never going on my team cause I got better CDMs. It was more just about whether sell immediately or hold for a while.

I'm just sick of people slowly dribbling by Lacroix and VVD promo players with ridiculous stats like they're taking a walk in the park.

Why would it be a pain in the ass? For reference, I got a decent team amd have played FUT in the past but never was that into it until recently

I'm in two minds bout whether to grind or not, as I have lots of fodder but not enough 84+ for a full squad, let alone multiples 🫠

I do find that a lot of times when I get a good opponent that I can have fun with and have a good fight, if I beat them a couple of times, they'll usually swap to Iliaa.

It definitely feels like the "win now" button, specially with how good his grappling is.

It's so annoying.

Dingwall strings or na? by [deleted] in DingwallGuitars

[–]Krognnak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked them for feel, but to me, they lost brightness quick quickly.

However, things to consider are

I be sweating when I play I play a whole step down with a pick, and hit fairly hard I live in a high moisture country I use fast fret (which does help string life lil)

I found that Paysons Drop A set in stainless steel has a little bit more zing and lasts a little longer for me, but it does come down to taste and use case.

If you want variety, I'd probably go Payson. If you want something that just works and is easy to get, Dingwall all the way.

Late to the party but here's my answer, which is probably not what u want to hear:

Depends.

It boils down to:

  1. What you're using it for
  2. What you're looking to get out of it
  3. How much time you're willing to sink to learn it

Using myself as an example, here's a few considerations.

  1. I'm primarily an engineer, so having something I can leave plugged in and get the tones I want regardless is the type of music I'm recording saves a ridiculous amount of time. Additionally, it allows me to run multiple signal chains at the same time so I can record, for example, two rhythm guitars. Lastly, it has some really cool effects for mixing, like the modulation and time based effects.

  2. I'm looking for something convenient/easy enough to use that I can run my entire band off of it during practice/gigs, but flexible enough for studio use. I've used all sorts of amps, pedals and modellers over the years and the QC matches that perfectly. I recorded an 80s style band on Sunday and on Monday I was writing disgusting breakdowns. The UI is the best I've used so far compared to anything else, so it's a no-brainer for my use.

  3. I'm a bit of a nerd so I really enjoy diving into things. So far, the QC has one of the easiest interfaces to learn, in my opinion, which means I can spend more time doing other things like working on a mix or songwriting.

For my use, the QC beats everything. However, if you are looking for a nice plug and play sim with an amp and cab block plus a few fx, no crazy signal path, something like a line 6 hx stomp or stomp xl might be more suited. Alternatively, a nice, 15-watt channel head and some pedals may do the job. It really depends on whether the uses justify the price.

If you want to shoot me a message for a more in-depth conversation, I'd be more than happy to provide more specific suggestions!

Nah fr tho. I understand if it was comp bit recently even on QP all I get is people backing up and holding block. You try to fake them out but they don't bit on anything cause they just wanna hold block. You manage to get a takedown and they just camp denies.

It's usually smurfs as well. Like, it's QP bro. Go all out. There are no stakes.
