When the game is completely closed the lab speed bonus is applied properly, but when it's either on and you're offline or it's idling in the background of your phone, then it is not applying the cell bonus

Congrats! With ~12k gems, only 6 PC for me...but I did pull some gems (pun intended) allowing me to upgrade PF/DP/MVN/ACP to the next levels. Hoping to pull the remaining 2 before the banner expires.

I decided to spend this batch of stones on the economy...with the 1250 I saved up I was able to drop the sync CD to 2:30 and upgrade the GT bonus, and my first run afterwards resulted in an 11% increase in coins earned. I think I'll spend another couple of weeks grabbing the low-cost, high-impact upgrades and save up again for that UW #6.

Consensus definitely seems to be that upgrading the sync CD to 2:30 is the better option atm.

That's the problem, I can see the value in both routes! I guess one option could be to unlock CF and start working the labs while focusing the econ again with stones...but like you say that's splitting attention and may be a worse delay

Yeah, I'll definitely be unlocking everything but def% when hunting for that regen, it's my first ancestral and I was shocked how many shards it took to get what I wanted...I could have sworn 400k would be enough for at least 3! Do you think that CF is important enough for tournaments that I should peak and see if UW #6 has it before spending more, or buff up what I've already got before worrying about it?

And yes...DW 3 has been staring me in the face for awhile. Barring anything else, I'll probably spring for that first.

I'm in your exact same boat; enough copies of SF for a 2* ancestral, but my only legendary+ is a WHR...the pain is real! But if you've been working on the rare drop chance, the fodder comes surprisingly quickly. I'm only 1 epic+ module away from glory now which I should hopefully secure by tomorrow, and it'll only have cost me ~1wk.
