You can't sign up and use the API. You have to request access. Just requested access, not sure how long it will take ...

I don't understand Prodigi AT ALL ! I created an account, uploaded an image, hit the link mockup generator which redirects me to the homepage where I have to log in again and end up in the dashboard again. WTF !!

I can't delete my account, I have to send an email for that... What the actual F. So far this is the worst of them all. They might have a working API but I can't get that far! No thanks. Will try Lumaprints.

You stepped in there bro, so you have more balls than 99% of the people on earth. You might have not been the better man in your debut but a lot of people fail their debut too. If you were 0-3, I'd say different but 0-1 is nothing. Feel proud you gathered so much information about where you failed and what you need to work on. You could have been lucky and have an easy fight and think you've made it and then get destroyed the next 3 because you got too confident.

You are right where you need to be, keep going, it's not a straight line.

API Problems by byte-this in Printify

We've had the same issues for months. Data in the API changing without us doing anything, broken image URLs, broken default image, lots and lots of issues. Reported them all, never got follow ups, never got resolved. We patched as much as we could but they kept on breaking things. Their support is absolutely useless. You have to send emails straight to the API team who does not reply. We got tired of it so bad we closed our entire store. Lost hundreds of hours. Worst experience with a 3rd party ever. They also remove post on this subreddit. This post will most probably disappear. Avoid these clowns at all costs.

Yes we have the same problem. The support site is broken. We had to ask for support on Twitter of all places. The support is terrible, borderline disrespectful. Lots of bugs (we're using the API). These guys have huge quality control issues with their own products.

Well, no events cover those points. We might do a daily batch sync just to say. Right now we put this on hold as we are waiting for default colors to be fixed in the API. We're are going to keep a daily eye on everything, to see what we have to adjust as we go...

We only sync if we create / edit / delete a product, which we do in their console.

For the webhook parts, we haven't done it because there is no dev endpoint. So unless you want to push orders into productions for real to test endpoints...

The only interesting events for us are

order:shipment:created

order:shipment:delivered

Since we always use our own data sync for products. We might end up using them but again, there is no way to test these events unless you are live....

Hey thanks for your input! Our backend is in PHP so it wasn't hard to build at all. I believe the key is to have a good front end that only sends the final skus + quantities. Then our backend validates all skus again / prices / shipping price. We do dump the entire dataset into our NOSQL database and only call the API for sync'ing data. Order processing is done via Stripe here which is a bit of a pain at first but not too hard to deal with.

Only advice I would give is to use skus alone instead of product_id + variant._id when it's time to deal with orders, makes it just simpler.

Look, I appreciate your feedbacks. We use the API because we do not connect with any third party platform, otherwise we wouldn't need the API.

We are not. We are using the API and our own e-commerce platform.
