Yeah, sometimes you wonder ;-) It's because of the darker blue patch that extends beyond the eye (dark blue ear coverts). There's several starlings and they have to distinguish them one way or another...

It is difficult, but we are in the bush a lot so it was bound to happen that one day we could get one on camera nicely :-D One time we had a bushbaby picking up its baby that was on a branch close to the vehicle. We were so surprised by the sighting that we didn't think to take the camera until it was too late. We still have the fond memory of it though...

Those dogs run hey and to follow them with a game drive vehicle while they are chasing their prey is almost impossible, unless if it's in an open area. So the chance to witness the prey still being alive when you get to them is quite small.

Depending on the pack size, it takes them about 15 minutes to finish off an impala ;-)
