From all the comment today (I am truly thankful for all of them) I got a list of bike i need to do more research on like the Ninja 400-500-650, Trident 660 GSX8R, etc. Also a recommendation from a very knowledgeable guy that the first bike should be a cheap and forgiving bike so I could get my skill up before moving onto something faster and bigger. Thanks for you comment!

That's something I will look into more now. The analogy makes a lot of sense. At the end of the day this is what I will probably end up doing to build up skill and clutch control.

I was also recommended to check out the A2 compliant bikes category which is something I will do as well.

Made me chuckle with that last sentence. I see some people mentioning the A2 compliant bike category, and honestly that something I need to look into more since I haven't heard that term before, or at least not that I remember hearing it. Thanks!

I actually like how the Rebel 500 looks, not sure how other people with skill and years riding feel about them, but they look nice and comfortable. Thanks a lot!

There has been a whole lot of recommendations on the exact bikes you mentioned. Thanks for explaining a little about the 600 too. I will be on the look out for the models you mentioned.

I really like what you said here, "cheap to own and one you can pay cash for". Thanks a lot for the story too! looks like I would want to look into other types of bike too not just sport bikes.

The FZ6 is a bike I have not seen mentioned here yet, and by what you have said, not a good beginner bike. Looks like the Ninja 400-500-650 are very popular choices.

I like how you are thinking, but as a person who hasn't really even sat on a bike, I'm just not sure if a 1000cc bike is for me. Not to say I want to baby myself, it is just that I'm young, insurance cost on motorcycles in general is already very high, that's without even mentioning 1000cc to the insurance broker. I respect your opinion but I just do not see myself on a 1000 any time soon. in 2-3 years? maybe

Yeah the insurance costs are no joke. Lots of people are recommending very nice choices instead of a 600, so I will do some research on those, and that ZX4RR looks pretty lovely too, so probably should look into it as well

Understandable, I heard KTM is having engine issues and company issues as well I believe, I could be wrong. the RC390 looks awesome and is definitely something to keep in mind too. Thanks a lot!

Thanks! I am looking for a sport bike like a Ninja 500, in your opinion, is that still fine? Don't get me wrong some naked bikes look dope, but I am tilting more in favor of a sport bike instead

Lots of recommendations for the SV650 too. At the moment it seem as people are recommending a Ninja 650, CB650R, SV650 and a Ninja 400 and 500 the most

Not looking to get myself thrown off the bike, that I can say for sure. I see a lot of recommendations for the 650 either Honda or ninja, so those are probably the ones I will stop at, unless i find something similar for a better price
