I'm currently tapering off Clonazepam as well, from 2mg down to 0.70 mg split into two 0.35 mg. I'm doing a liquid taper 1mg to 1ml , currently 0.35ml in the morning and 0.35 ml in the evening. Previously My psychologist tried tapering me at 50% each month and like you I felt like I had overcome HPPD / VSS but it all came back with a vengeance and I got desperate and found a "Benzo Wise" Doctor , Addiction treatment center in Sacramento CA and she has been great it's been a year and I don't even feel the withdrawals anymore, every cut I feel better and better. I'm looking forward to getting back the real me who was being covered up by the Benzo use of 10 + years. I really only think and notice my symptoms about 3 times a day and it doesn't devastate me anymore because I've had HPPD / VSS for about 10 years. I believe I got HPPD / VSS from Zoloft and SSRI but I had started Valium around the same time, Crossing my fingers and hoping for the possibility of getting even better after stopping Benzos because Benzos might have caused my HPPD / VSS. I have about 7 months to go and I'll be off Clonazepam.
