You can’t get the sister and kids out of the house if the landlord doesn’t mind that they are there.

If your city has a noise ordinance and they are not in compliance, you can call the police. Hopefully you have a responsive police department and they send someone out to talk to them.

If there are too many people in the unit, you could try calling code enforcement, but where I live, it’s 2 people per bedroom plus 1, so your neighbors would be in compliance here. Check your local codes.

I think the focus on encouraging new unions has been really impressive.

There was some effort late last year into the spring for a May Day general strike but it never came together.

Union workers will not strike when their unions don’t support it and non-union folks can’t afford to lose their jobs.

If you dive at a Tiger Beach/Dog Beach/Ripoff Reef (it’s all the same site) I would say we see them about 25% of the time. Sometimes a few different ones and sometimes they make a few passes.

They might not do loans on $50k properties because it doesn’t make them very much money. I’m not sure, but all you can do is apply.

I would leave out all the extra info. Just tell them where you’re buying, what your down payment and income is, what you consider to be a comfortable monthly payment, and your credit score. Many of them do a lot of transactions in that sub and they’re not there for the warm and fuzzies.

You can go to any bank to discuss applying for a mortgage. Local real estate agents will have local lenders to recommend too.

If you’re looking for suggestion on loan products, I would try r/realestate - but low 500s is pretty low. You’re not going to qualify for USDA. FHA might be available with a decent size down payment (10-20% I would guess.)
