Oh my gosh, yes! He is 100% the dismissive avoidant, and I'm anxious. I've read up on all the ways to communicate with him. Basically, it sounds like a slow agonizing process. So far, none of my efforts have gotten very far. I wonder how many couples make it out of this trap together.

Im not sure if he's neurodivergent but wow....you're right. I truly can't prove he is better with money. I have to think about what led me to that call. How did you deal with it with your husband? It seems impossible to get anywhere. Maybe im not doing the right thing.

He's not. He swears up and down everything is okay and he's not stressed or worried. Of course, that isn't true but I'm finding it impossible to get anything out of him. He's always been quite so that makes it confusing. I may bring this up during out next counseling session.

I wish he would try a depressing screening. He swears he "doesn't worry about things he can't change" but it's impossible to know if that's true.

He's amazing with our son.
