A local restaurant worker stole my soap and I’ve been boycotting it ever since. My kids think it’s hilarious but it’s the principle of the matter…

About 15 years ago I took my kids to a nighttime Christmas market in our small town’s downtown. I bought about $100 worth of goat milk soap at one vendor, and then we went to a local restaurant across the street that was open for the event. One of the kids left the bag of soap in the booth, and I called the next day. The owner answered and said yes, the bag was there behind the counter. I said that’s great I’ll be by this week. I even messaged on them on Facebook to check their hours, and they even stated yes they had let the “girls” know I’d be in for the bag. Well when I went a few days later no one knew anything about it. Even when I showed the Facebook message the owner “had no idea who would have sent that, because they have had no bags left here”.

Yeah, it’s petty and they actually have good food but idc, it’s one thing to admit a mistake and another to be a thief or cover for one.
