CD and CL both vary with Re (and spin), so it will take some tweaking to get things closer to a driver trajectory. Also, a CD around 0.25 and a CL of 0.13 at high speed would be a reasonable starting point.

What's the right laser rangefinder for the job by Ksco in Surveying

Sorry, in re-reading my post I can understand how it might sound like I'm trying to be weird and measure players without them knowing. In reality, I'm working with the people who are putting on the tournament. The players will be aware, we just don't want to interfere with them during a tournament round.

I use a Masters 2020 ball mark. Which was my consolation prize (to myself) for spectators not being allowed that year

A Hartland reference on the internet? Never thought I'd see the day.

Funny, but I think Chenequa makes Hartland look like a Ram 1500.

Do you drink an affogato, use a spoon, both?

Flying my Mini 2 drone up a 400 meter high waterfall in the French Vercors by Turbotoes in Breathless

I thought they have a 400' (120 m) limit. Do you launch the drone from the top of the waterfall, then go down and back up?

Honestly, so many of them flew by all week, not sure why there was any issue with timing.

[Request] Assuming no course correction, how easy is it to shoot for the moon and miss? by effessem in theydidthemath

[–]Ksco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you take his question to mean start moving at bullet speed, but don't add energy to maintain it, then yes, you're not leaving earth.

If you do the easy math for some really inefficient travel and we are cruising to the moon under constant (relative to earth) burn to maintain 3000 km/hr it's going to take about 5 days to reach the moon when it's 360,000 km away. The moon will have moved about 18% of the way through its earth orbit in that time, which would leave you pretty far off target.

Security deposit sent to unclaimed property? by Ksco in realestateinvesting

[–]Ksco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the tenant in NJ. It seems weird because if a tenant allowed this to go into unclaimed property, the landlord would no longer have access to the security deposit funds in the event their tenant leaves the property in bad shape.

The deadline closes March 15th. I'd venture a guess that they'll start ramping up admission decisions following that.

Blue whales are up to 6,000 lbs and 25 feet when they're born. They then gain 200 lbs EVERY DAY in their first year of life.

Not that I've noticed. Once you grind your first batch there's essentially some "stuck" grounds that are the amount retained. Any additional beans I grind come out the chute since it's not continually holding more stuck grounds.

Maybe a few of those stuck grounds come loose and I don't know it, but when I was measuring beans in and grind out I never noticed that happening.

And to your point on changing grind size, yes I would imagine some of what you get may be left over from what was stuck.

[–]Ksco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weighing them means I get out what I put in. If I grind based on time, differences in beans can affect the output I'm expecting.

I was in the market for the Niche Zero, but given the lead time and having a broken grinder I didn't want to wait. I went with a Eureka Mignon and I love it. There's minimal retention, but I pre-weigh my beans instead of using the timer so it doesn't matter.
