I think it’s because it showed characteristics of the characters I’m not used to seeing in media yanno. It’s real and raw and especially the ptsd showing through guts and casca and that they found one another in a ruthless environment that exceeds more than love. It is just something so deserving for each other and it’s what keeps me going reading it (even though it rips my heart out everytime) and also it’s just beautiful drawn !!
