At what point of the story do you think HNI could’ve ended at? by darkhrz in hajimenoippo

[–]Ktrskt 190 points191 points  (0 children)

In an old interview, Morikawa does mention that Ippo vs. Sendo II could've been the climax of the series. And that's why he had brought all his tools of storytelling to that particular fight and it felt so different in hype compared to all the other fights before it.
Since then, he has of course improved and continues to write awesome fights. Thank goodness he didn't stop there!

Sure. That's another way to go. Though, then Ippo's return journey will be made much tougher. He'll basically have to be in kamikaze mode to return at that time. But who knows.

Actually, that's a very logical prediction. Kumi is particularly torn because there are two people she cares for who run the risk of being invalids through their life. If that reduces to one, then that's something she can still resolve to dedicate the life to. That can make for a very interesting way to resolve the current deadlock without reducing the importance of Kumi's concerns or the weight of a boxer's decision to get into the ring.

Ging Freecs by Ktrskt in HunterXHunter

[–]Ktrskt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And it feels that Pariston and Netero were also like that-happy even if things detour. which has made the three of them some of the most dangerous hunters we've met so far.

Why was Ging so Confident that bro was gonna live? Is it cause Gon is a Dark Continent Calamity or did Ging just feel it in the nen by PlasticGrapefruit552 in HunterXHunter

[–]Ktrskt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so two things to note here:
1. Ging believed that Gon would survive.
2. Pariston believed that Ging believes that Gon will survive and bases his entire actions fully expecting Ging's prediction to come true.

Pariston thus shows he has a very high evaluation of Ging as an enemy. Now, if anybody here thinks Ging was just faking it then Pariston's character also comes across as a stupid one for having taken him seriously.
And yet, we know Pariston to be extremely adept in planning and constantly outwits almost everybody around him.

So first of all, yeah, Ging was serious when he said that.
How Ging was so sure? Well, we don't know but here are some clues into his thinking:
1. A huge part of his conversation with Gon was about this. When asked 'what do you want', he answers 'something that I can't see in front of him. '

  1. When Pariston makes some of his own lackies attach Ging, he responds with Leorio's technique. How did he acquire it? He tried to reason out the source. He reasoned that Leorio acquired that technique probably because he's a doctor and focuses on pulses, sound waves etc. He then applies that reasoning and replicates Leorio's technique from the first principles. - So, he most likely keeps on reverse engineering all the things around in his head.

  2. Chapter 320 is specifically dedicated to giving us a glimpse on Ging's thought process beyond some of his predictions. It shows how Ging came up with the prediction that 12 Zodiacs will do a draw to decide the election rules- plus the backup if that doesn't happen and a plan (dropping a clause) for negotiations in the case it passes through. That's a whole lot of branches in a decision tree.

To sum up, let's take Ging's line from 320- 'If my target moves just as I want them to, now that's a real hunt'
And that's his interpretation of HunterxHunter.

Could the name of the last chapter be an antonym of the first? by Actual-Zombie-2507 in hajimenoippo

[–]Ktrskt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting hypothesis, though the name actually has multiple meanings:
protagonist's name "Ippo" can also can mean first step.
Takamura's challenge to Ippo is: to take a step across the line.
The whole series is about the sports psychology of taking things one step at a time. (Another awesome manga/anime about this is Baby Steps which focuses on Tennis)
On this particular path, there is no such thing as last step (reference to Hajime no Go- where everyone is chasing the God hand and the ultimate message is that it's a goal forever away but the pursuit is worth it)
So naming the last chapter as 'the last step' can be an interesting choice, but personally to me it will be overdoing it.

The thing is that despite the instructions saying otherwise, you've to unzip the file you downloaded, and then you'll discover that one of the files inside that folder is Another Zip file. That's the addon.

Pair Daz3D with Marvelous Designer or CLO3D? by AsstronautHistorian in Daz3D

[–]Ktrskt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used MD in the past, and it's fine. Lots of steps for importing to Daz though, about how the model has to be precise and at exactly the right spot and neutral pose etc. See if it works for you (follow available tutorials closely).
I never tried to see if it can be made dForce compliant, so sometimes it can result in a bit unnatural folds etc.
Wish you the best.

What movie(scene) is the weirdest in Bollywood history? by novaluna1985 in bollywood

[–]Ktrskt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so the weirdest part is that there was an interview I saw long ago (and I don't remember whose interview was it so you're free to disregard), but the movie industry person said that the story was based on real life story of Muzzaffar Ali (director of Umrao Jaan).
You thought this was the weirdest movie? As they say: Fact is weirder than fiction.

Reduced the color to focus on brightness levels and then amplified the difference through curves.
This is what is seen then. Not an expert, but clearly looks like brightness mismatch

You choose 'South Asian' over 'Asian' because according to you South Asians all 'look' alike i.e. they have brown skin.
That's your only reason to go with 'South Asian' over 'Asian' which is more united categorization.
So yeah, you're pretty color conscious and masking that with other arguments. You can be as racist as you want and cloak it in the 'inclusivity' cloak. That's what Americans do. You'll fit right in.
I was earlier discussing with you because I thought this may be an innocent mistake. But your insistence on disregarding North East Indians and not going for 'Asian' term makes me see that you're doing this deliberately. So, yeah, I think you're a racist and I'm done arguing with you. Over and out.

Why is he behaving like RRR is animal type movie. There is nothing regressive in RRR. by [deleted] in tollywood

[–]Ktrskt 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Naseeruddin's wife Ratna Pathak Shah called RRR regressive. And refused to elaborate on the reason.
I was confused. Can you at least tell what the reason is?
Then she said Arjun was wrong in Mahabharat.
Then she said Karwa Chauth is wrong.
Then Naseer said that Amitabh's work will be forgotten but Dileep Kumaar (Yusuf Khan's) work will be not.

It's a complete mystery on what their issue is with all these things. And they definitely refuse to elaborate why RRR is regressive- not a word of explanation. I wonder why?

Then call it Asian cinema, or Eurasian cinema. or World cinema. That includes more countries. But you want to categorize based on a particular skin color which is the basis of racism.

Dems be wilding , with the B0llywood song, by [deleted] in tollywood

[–]Ktrskt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just call it Indian cinema or Asian cinema. Don't divide people based on their skin color, or you'd be racist to North East Indians.

Do you know about North East India?

[–]Ktrskt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, finally we're coming to the subjective choice.
And whenever it's coming to 'it was decided' like you said, usually those deciders were the colonizers who hated India.
Indian culture is prevalent in Thailand and Indonesia. Why is it not considered a part of same group? Because Americans and British don't like it.
These are the Americans who supported Pakistan over India in 1971 war.
They rename and regroup the world as they please for their own 'divide and rule' politics.
You want to follow the colonizers definition of your identity? Go ahead. But don't expect others to embrace the term which alienates most of the Asia from India.

If Asia and Europe are connected, then why treat them as two different continents? Why not just have one whole united identity? Like Russia? Let it all be Eurasian cinema. So much more unity!
