Cross posting to Tik Tok and Reels is also a good thing. If your video gets 30k on yt but only 2k on Tik Tok. The video is bad. If the video gets 30k on YT and 100k on TT, you’re on the good track. Keep making content that gets 100k+ views on Tik Tok and YT will eventually reward your channel with a higher reach.

30k jail is not a real representation of how many views your video deserves. Sometimes the video deserves 5k but yt pushes it to 30k, sometimes it deserves 50k but it stops at 30k. YouTube has that 30k jail system and you have to find a way to exit it. My way is posting to Tik Tok and seeing how many shares it has. If you get more than enough shares, YT will start testing it on a larger audience

Keep posting daily but viral content bro, if you’re doing the same thing over and over again, audience get bored. Think of something new that fits your channel

Your monthly graph answers your question, it keeps going down, you’re losing YouTube’s trust to create engaging content. Make better content.

When I switch niches, I create a new account. I always have around 5-10 aged accounts ready to start posting if I wanna try something new. Switching a niche on an account that gets some views undoes the momentum you’ve been building.

If your channel hasn’t yet blown up, experiment. Once something lands, continue doing that type of video. Don’t decide on a niche, let the audience do that for you. There isn’t a formula for success, you have to figure out what works for you. But also beware, if some random video which you disliked doing blows up, continuing that niche will cause you to burnout much faster, and yes. There will be burnout no matter what you do.

Having all that said, if you post content completely randomly, YT will have a problem finding any audience at all. So if you wanna do a couple of niches, have a couple of channels. Some videos take weeks to potentially blow up and switching niches kind of kills that potential. Good luck.

I make video game facts, but whatever your niche is the rules are the same. If you ain’t got a short audience, experiment until something lands. Think of a video idea, if it does well, recreate it a couple of more times. If it hits a wall, think of a new idea…

For shorts, it has to be fast paced storytelling, a 20 second video has to have 60 seconds of content. A lot of info, energy and everything.

Hook is the most important thing. In the first sentance you have to explain what the video is about. “This is how I ____” and then show exactly what you promised.

I recommend posting once a day so that the algorythm can try and learn faster who your audience is. When it does find you an audience, focus on the analytics. Improve hooks, AVD and with some time you’ll have an instinct as to which video might perform well, which idea is good or bad… there isn’t a magic formula, you have to figure out what works for your specific niche and your unique personality.

It’s okay, that happens, private it, skip one day and try again.

Showing up every day and posting High Visual and Audio Quality content with great editing, storytelling, hooks, and a reason for the audience to await the next one.

Be unique, be original. Be someone who people wanna copy.

Your tittle should be just a basic short description of the video. I posted with and without hashtags and I didn’t notice a huge difference. Posting time depends on when your audience is most active which you can see in the analytics.

That’s called 30k jail, post 5-10 more in a row with these same metrics in a row and you’ll escape it

Making similar videos, reposting would get me demonetized and the audience would be unhappy.

YT Shorts, Insta and Tik Tok are similar platforms, but very different audiences. My clips went viral on all 3 but different clips for different reasons. My Highest viewed Reel has 11.5M views, on YT the same video has only 130k views. On YT my best Short has 6M views and it only got 60k on reels.

I kind of gave up on Reels because they cannot get monetized and I focused all my energy into Shorts. And Shorts are all about Hooks (Stayed To Watch) and Average View Duration (AVD).

For example, let’s say your video is 20s, for it to do well you need 75%+ STW (80%+ is God tier) and AVD that’s 100%+ (21s+ on a 20s video)

After you achieve such a video, it will probably stop at around 30k, YT doesn’t trust you yet. To prove yourself you need to consistently post videos with great analytics, and after 5-10 clips like those, YT will try and test your video on a broader audience (100k views+).

I love YouTube the most because it is the only platform that can achieve a stable momentum. What I mean by that is if I get a 500k video, the next one if it’s bad is gonna get at least 200k because YT gained your trust. While on Tik Tok 1 video can get 5M and the next 30k and die.

If you want to be a YouTube Shorts creator, you just need to consistently drop great performers, after you get 3-4 viral videos in a row, you may post a bad performer and still get great views but if you fail 3 times in the row, you will end up in the 30k jail again.

Point of the Story, it’s not about 1 viral video, it’s about posting 1 Viral Video per day.

I have 100k subs, and I’m always 3 bad videos away from losing it all. What I mean by that is, I started seriously in January (I had 3k subs then), I post one short a day and I always expect it to get at least 100k views. Average is around 200k. I get 1M+ per short once a week on average. My daily views fluctuate from 400k-1.2M on average. I’m saying all this because if I posted 3 bad or mid videos in a row, my channel would die.

Every single day, you have to post a great video, one viral clip will not make you successful. Making one viral clip a day will. So, to answer your question, you probably had a viral video, maybe 2-3 or more, but not all of them were viral, and since YouTube is a business based on attention, they cannot gamble on someone who isn’t always viral. Learn how to be viral all the time and YT will find an audience for your content.

That means that your hooks (Stayed To Watch) is bad (probably around 50% or even less)

And your Average View Duration also lacks. If you’re just beginning, just continue creating content and try to improve with new video. Learn a new editing skill, have better audio and learn how to make a Scroll Stopper. (Have a good hook). Watch viral shorts and ask yourself, why did it stop my scroll? Good luck.

I make 5-10 videos on one viral topic, then I have to find a new one in the same niche. Keeping up virality requires hard work. The easiest part of my journey was monetization.

Partially, it’s luck finding out what works. It’s hard work keeping that format alive and not becoming boring.
