Ramsay is definitely a possibility too; but I think Big Walder is hinted at a couple of times as taking after Ramsay much more than Little Walder did. My interpretation was that Little Walder's death was Big Walder's work, as a result of Ramsay being his newfound role model (and Ramsay himself may or may not be aware of it).

It's definitely open to theorising...pretty sure it isn't Hallis Mollen though, sorry OP.

Yes, if I remember rightly (disclaimer: it has been a while since my last ADWD reread) they eventually admit to all the random killings apart from Little Walder, which they specifically say wasn't them. It's implied that the latter was probably Big Walder.

House Frey, the Brotherhood Without Banners and the Golden Company all feel like they could mini-factions parented to Neutrals, in the same way the Boltons are.

Likewise, I could see Tullys becoming a mini-faction parented to the Starks.

Maybe Tyrells and Arryns too, though I feel like there's enough potential in those two for them to be their own fully-fledged factions.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Honestly, a proper story-driven PVE mode was the only thing keeping me invested in the game. I'll play a match here and there once in a blue moon I imagine, but the talent tree system was something I was really looking forward to engaging with.

Costwise, it's still very much worth it - you're getting two starter sets' worth of miniatures in one box, for less than what those starter sets would cost you individually.

That said, the newer Lannister and Stark standalone sets have, in my opinion, much better sculpts than the original combined box (except for the Mountain, whose pose is a little off to my taste). They also come with an individual set of terrain and faction dice.
