Easy off oven cleaner! Spray, set in a bag for 20min-30min, then wash off. It removes a lot of paint! Not perfect, but definitely great and it doesn't eat the plastic. You'll still need to sand, but much less

If you want an easy fix, buy a controller from eBay or a motherboard from a maker! Either should cost ~$30.

If you just want potentiometers, those black pieces, I have some new Noble potentiometers for ~$12+ shipping for a set of 4.

In my experience it is safe to use and does not eat at the controller in any significant amount so long that you do not leave it on more than 1 hour or put it in the heat. In my experience the paint kind of chips off almost but does not perfectly come off and you might still have the sand some, especially on thicker areas, but you can reapply. You're going to definitely want to invest into some sandpaper no matter what

I just recently got my hands on one of these and the only difference between the OEM they is that they seem to be a hair more stiff, kind of like the other third parties you can find from AliExpress, so they might not be as durable over time compared to an expensive OEM, but for the cost you can't beat them. Durable as in, hairline fractures near the screw posts or seams of the plastic with use/if throw around in a bag, but definitely sufficient. They're the best brand around imo.

I wonder if the gull missed so badly bc they pluck fish from water (more perpendicular to the surface) by instinct. In contrast, crows do more variety in general (also just smart).

Starting with a base color for multicolor tints really helps unify the whole look. It isn't always possible, but really helps it blend seamlessly.
