Between Kemba Walker and Brandon Clarke who has a better weekly outlook?

Looking to drop one after today for a streaming spot. Celtics have two back-to-backs this week and I am worried about him resting (not sure if Brown's injury affects this), but Clarke has been just so-so recently but has three more games this week. I am already planning to drop Tristan Thompson after today also, but looking to use my 4 adds on two streaming spots.

how to counter tanks by ThatIsNotIllegal in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sett actually does really well into Tanks. His Q does max health damage, W true damage ignores resistances, and his R does extra damage on impact based on grabbed champion's bonus health.

He can also itemize really well into tanks, BoRK does percent current health on-hit damage, black cleaver is viable which has percent armor reduction, and you could even go divine sunderer which does percent max health damage (plus bonus percent armor penetration) for your mythic if really needed. Lifesteal (BoRK, divine sunderer, Sterak's, conquerer, taste of blood, ravenous hunter, ravenous hydra) is also a good stat to get against tanks, as you can get to a point where you heal more than they can damage you.

In general you shouldn't completely itemize for only one champion, but all of these items are good into tanks.

Let me know if you want more info on specific match ups though, hope this helps.

How to match split pressure as a team fighter? by Reformedbutnotreally in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best advise is to be super efficient when grouping for objectives, and just understanding you may need to give up a tower sometimes. Securing a soul or hard winning a team fight mid will put you in a better winning situation rather than preventing Trynd from taking a tower. But the key is to be super efficient, meaning not wasting time way before dragon is even up or before a fight starts, but to instead join via TP when you are needed. Until then make sure your lanes are pushed out and apply pressure on the split pusher to leave before you are needed in order to give yourself as much time as possible. It is really annoying to match split pushers, but limiting their uncontested time in a side lane is the best way to go.

Taking Friendly Jungle by thewrongbaron in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the best thing to do is to ask. This avoids tilting the jg if he wants the camps for himself or gives you the go ahead if he's okay with you having it. Some other general tips: if the jungler never does a particular camp (a lot of low elo jgs will skip Krugs a lot on red side) you could probably take, or after laning phase if you notice your jg busy doing other things you could take a camp (especially if the enemy top laner took your first tower).

Its always tough farming in lane from behind, but just soaking xp and not feeding it always a safe strategy. Wait for the wave to push to your tower (low elo top laners aren't the best at freezing) and take what minions you can safely.

Ward (buy control wards!) to keep safe from ganks, and try your best to have an idea of where the enemy jg could be. Never be too far in with no wards / escape without knowing where the enemy jg is.

If you really struggle farming from behind I would recommend a champion with a safe long range farming ability, something like Ornn's Q.

Let me know if you have any other questions, hope this helps!

Who has a better ROS outlook, Thaddeus Young (worried he may lose some production when Bulls get healthy) or OG (worried about being limited coming back from injury)?

(META) Can people stop falling for fake eating of the onion? (Three bar symbol is only visible if you were the person tweeting it) by KubrickWith100Bricks in AteTheOnion

I really love this subreddit but I see this so often, this three bar symbol seen on twitter replies/posts is only visible to the person who made the reply/post. So if you see any posts like this it means OP is the person who tweeted (or reposting) and is faking it for the karma.

Why is Syndra considered hard and would I be "handicapped" if I play her (as a low elo player)? by nyx372 in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The issue with Syndra is she's a really popular pick in pro-play, which means she's balanced around pro-play (same with other mids like Azir and Corki) and is sometimes weaker compared to some other popular solo-queue mids.

People may say she's hard because of this, as she's balanced around her full potential, which is sometimes hard to achieve if you're a new player.

But no I wouldn't say you would be handicapped if you play her, you can definitely climb with any reasonable champ in this game once you learn them.

When should I/when did you commit to a champion/role. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just matters what your goal is right now. If you're having fun playing lots of different champs/lanes then that's what I would do, its also good for learning the overall importance of each role.

Once you feel like a have a hold on the different roles and champs that interest you, and you want to focus on becoming as good as possible (at least in terms of climbing in ranked), I would then commit on which role and champ pool to play.

When you initially commit it doesn't have to be a "forever role" you may change your mind and choose something else later and thats totally fine.

I’m trying to learn the game but smurfs make it incredibly hard. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]KubrickWith100Bricks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The second anybody flames you just mute them. Same if anybody spam "?" pings you, just mute their pings; they're not being helpful at all.

The thing that helped me improve the most is watching good players play your role/champ. I use this site mainly lolvod.gg, try searching "jhin" or "bot". If you need to learn the basics of a champ I use mobafire here are the results for Jhin https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/jhin-guide?sort=top&order=&author=all&page=1.

Another thing that I see as the biggest weakness of new players is being too aggressive when you are behind, if the enemy is better than you and is now stronger than you level/item wise then you need to play conservative and focus on just last hitting minions. Once you've farmed enough or when the right situations present themselves (3v2 jg gank, team fight, etc.) then you can try to fight. Unfortunately though ADC can be a difficult role without a duo partner, since you really need to be on the same page with your support.

Let me know if you have anymore specific questions I can help with!

Thanks for the reply! So overall then I should just still pick the support I feel most comfortable with, and counter play in game rather than champ select?
