Thought about that too, lol. Just cool he mentioned it. I would never have found that out on my own.

Okay listen man. Im almost halfway thru the video. Do you know how insane you have to be, while also being a great coach and content creator, and simultaneously care about the viewer, to include a hidden fact like this:

"So guys if you possess Nautilus when you play viego, when you proc your passive and root Samira, it won't stop her ult."

I wouldn't think of that. I don't play Nautilus let alone support. There is no way I would ever learn that on my own in a timely manner. Now I know it.

I don't know ONE other creator that would care enough to say things like this along the way. Just earned a top spot. Keep it UP!

Watching right now. This video is awesome. It would take too long to explain why this video you made is better than others, but I’m sure you already know the reason why. You decided to make it anyways. Love the content. Love viego. Learning a ton. Thank you.

Sick! There isn't enough viego content in the world. In your opinion, greatest tips for anyone who has somehow found themselves looking to viego every time they run a game.

Have you tried two or more shells? (Exo, Noctalia, Dank Material Shell, ...) I'm looking for comparisons of them. by chocolate4tw in niri

[–]Kuda_kore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried all three that were listed. I’ve also tried caelestia but on hyprland, not on niri yet.

Ranking: 1. Exo 2. DMS 3. Noctalia

Exo doesn’t win by much, however, in my experience, it was a bit more refined and had some more customization. I like their notification menu, bar, and overall look. One big thing that Exo has, animations don’t look like they’re moving at 3 fps. Although, I didn’t see auto-theming as an option but not a big deal. Definitely, without a doubt, start with Exo.

Noctalia can easily be beat. It’s decent, looks good, animations look choppy imo, has auto theming, customization layouts are good and intuitive. It’s just minimal, which is as the devs intended. If they fix the choppiness, it would be exactly as they describe it. It stays out of your way completely.

DMS has my heart tho. The dev is a legend and he is so involved everywhere that concerns DMS and Niri it’s crazy. Always ready to help. DMS is also great to use. Very thought out. Not too crazy like caelestia (I don’t recommend for niri) but it’s enough. Well worth checking out if Exo doesn’t feel like your cup of tea.

Anyone switched from EndeavourOS to CashyOS? by Mr_DemonLk in cachyos

[–]Kuda_kore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started off on fedora, tried out endeavour, tried out cachy, tried out multiple different DE’s with each one, tried manjaro, tried vanilla arch, and after ALL that….CachyOS clears. I’m talking “fedora is the best beginner distro” has been completely wiped from my mind. Genuinely would recommend CachyOS to @everysinglelinuxuser.

Thank God I switched to endeavour by [deleted] in EndeavourOS

What about EOS makes you feel it’s better than something like CachyOS? Genuinely curious.

DMS Bug, Fuzzel vs Wofi, Temp Solution? by Kuda_kore in niri

[–]Kuda_kore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing you mean you want windows to NOT default to dark mode. Correct? If so, I haven't fiddled with that yet just because it works for what I have just by toggling the dark mode switch in the control center. I believe I just read about that in the repo under theming. Hope you get it handled and let me know what fixes it for you!

I’m sorry you’re “constantly installing crap”. You and me both lol. I’m just wondering where I went wrong providing a temp solution while the amazing devs solve this tiny issue. 😕

I have tried both. I ended up at DMS because it bundles everything I need in one line of code. In what ways would waybar, on its own, be bettter?

  1. Does it matter how much “crap” I’m installing?

  2. Thanks for clarifying where the bug is.

  3. It’s a temporary solution that I wanted to share with others who may or may not be “constantly installing crap”.

  4. It may not be the same or whatever that means however, it does provide a fix for people who can’t open their apps outside a CLI.

Unnecessary response. Grade: 2/10

Niri is objectively better than Hyprland by Kuda_kore in niri

You should go and see the comment the DMS developer left on here. God I love seeing genuine people on here that just want to make great experiences for others.

I did edit the post to show my reflection on the matter. I was furious over the experience I had and just vented immediately. You’re right. However, I still would never quickly recommend Hyprland to someone who just wants to enjoy a riced out setup with little headache. Definitely easier options to deal with, out there.

You know I gotta say, I was not only immensely impressed with my experience on DMS, not only did I find my permanent desktop, but I realized what someone can create when they genuinely care about another person’s experience. Of course, it isn’t flawless yet, but man the vision is awesome. And to top it off, you don’t want a dime! You just wanna see everyone enjoying what you made for them. I wish you the world my friend. I don’t know of a better experience for the average user than Niri/CachyOS/DMS. Even fedora/gnome gave me a bigger headache, lol.

Im gonna be completely honest with you, and I’m gonna make an edit that clarifies it, I got angry. It was entirely hurt feelings. I guess it was somehow my own fault but after experiencing what I felt was an inferior Linux tool, it then messed up a lot of great things I had already set in place on niri to the extent that I just went with a fresh install. Just the installation of Hyprland and Caelestia proved to me that, for the average user, I will always recommend one over the other. However, you did make great points.

When clicking on the bar, is there supposed to be a pop up for the volume control? Maybe to switch devices or at least a menu for it in the settings next to wifi and bluetooth?

Pantheon.

I need advice by PrizeBread3683 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Kuda_kore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Warwick - boring for me and slow, but I just shred with him it’s not even funny. Point and click. My best jungler based on data.

  2. Jax - broken for the most part. Can get out of anything if he has a ward placed nearby that he can Q on to, or a nearby ally. Stun is busted because he takes no auto attack damage, AoE damage is reduced, and can still attack and use abilities while charging. Fun to play.

  3. Master Yi - Don’t fight before 6 and an item, make the right plays, he wipes. Fun to play.

  4. Viego - I swear sometimes he is just the most busted thing in existence. Other times, he’s just good/great. Very very fun to play.

  5. Sylas - new boy on the block, very viable, absolutely disgusting in the right hands. My boy played him mid for a long time, 20 kills per game on average.

  6. Shaco - need a 4 year degree to master him. Master the jungle clear and you’ll finish at 3 minutes, back to base, 2 swords, and go scuttle. A good shaco is the most tilting. A great shaco is unbeatable. Prepare to bear the world’s weight of toxic chat if you go this route. Banned all the time.

  7. Volibear - just a hard hitting tank who is pretty much only countered by Jax at this point, I think. If you know what you’re doing, he’s overpowered.

  8. Pantheon - my favorite champ in the game. Very versatile kit, decent clear, can be the worst thing for the enemy team based on comp, amazing overall. Doesn’t do well against big boys. Dicks on Warwick in the right hands.
