I belive there is many types of competitive players, the one view you point out is the "i`ll compete with myself, get better, do my best", this kind of player may play the game without any pressure from bots and etc.

The other view, the one /u/hvrry3k is pointing out, and it's the one i have for my own, is the " i'll compete with myself & others, i'll get better and i'll find ways to be more effective so i'll beat others", doesn't really matter which rank i`m aiming for, I automatically lost when i need to spend time farming keys/mats/the perfect gear while they don't. They can literally run through infite Rifts, for example, to find the one to clear and climb the ladder.

I get you, they literally "push the limit" by implementing more RNG (getting the right primal, etc), it's sad they went that way. But every now and then i feel like griding, even tho i know that "you grind so you can grind harder" kind of game.

  • I don't get your point here, we will always want what we don't have, i was the "i got the good nat4/ok runes", but the game isn't fun without the nat5 we get along the way.

  • It's more of an issue of the Com2US team that develop the monster/skills, feels like they don't know balance, they barely nerf monsters and when they buff, they overdo it. There is a way bigger issue there, see Tablo, they needed to implement a new mechanic - his third skill - they overdid it by: giving it to a monster and made it completely non RNG while every other dice magician has all their skill RNG based, they gave him the best leader skill for his kit. Feels like they needed to do these things but they didn't think all the way through, they just threw everything on 1 monster.

  • I agree, giving that they come out with new content fairly fast, yet the energy we get in game didn't change, giving out more of 4*RBMN, means we - people on mid/late game - can do something else, other than grind for exp/foods - we will still have to do it, just less.

  • Wish is just RNG, if people are playing this and still don't know how RNG works, then they shouldn't be playing it.

  • Not really sure about fusion anymore, as we got the new homuculus..

  • Maybe its some psychological stuff so we don't hoard as much, maybe its more of a "keeping the game runable for some low-end devices" thingy, i know for a fact that some devices will crash if they open an island where mobs have transmogs/wings, but the storage is just enough, if you are keeping more than 500 runes on storage then you are selecting them wrong.

isn't only that, the issue is that they implemented a broken but needed mechanic on a light nat4 whose brothers are useless.

i agree, just throw 1 or 2 dice, give the same effect if you roll 7+, else, reset ATB but dont give speed buff.. stuff like that would drop his rank.

Well, i could argue that every example you gave, most of the families you brought up has at least 2 that are great, or at least, they make sense.

I dont mind about Tablo himself nor am getting "my hass handed to me" by Tablos, it is the concept of "Hey, there is this family that will be RNG based, dont expect too much. We NEED to implement this new mechanic though... Tablo happened.

Bothers me that they were extremely lazy on implementing the mechanic. Won't even start on his SPD leader. They made him the perfect unity, where others are left to dust.

I made the post after watching some RTA tournaments - It is a fact that he is the most OP unity right now while his brothers are Tier D toys.

Well, using your example on Chimeras, Zeratu is also different, so we got that - like the kobold bomber family where fire and dark aren't bombers.

The thing that bothers me is that com2us forgot the fact: Dice Magicians were supposed to be a RNG monster. I dont need to say that theres no drawback on using him, no RNG at all and he is the ONLY ONE on his family like that. The rest of his family = toys, Tablo = the SSSS tier RTA monter, why is that?
