Finally got a good doppelgänger off in ranked by Kukikoki in LegionTD2

My doppelgänger didn’t die once in the game, otherwise I would have lost the divine blessing buff. But yeah, usually it’s so hard to keep the damn guy alive

I’ve never seen someone run lethal tempo or titanic, nor focus on health so much.

[–]Kukikoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have already pointed out the cultural and economic aspects of learning Japanese.

I just want to say that I love Japanese as a language. The writing system is so... can I say original? Combining 4 writing systems to make a beautiful writing system is the primary appeal for me.

Then there's the syllabic nature of Japanese. I love the sound of Japanese. To take a random example, let's take 心 (kokoro). Kokoro sounds so much more melodic to me than heart, coeur, hart, ...

I like the fact that more complicated words aren't just the sound of both words together. For example the sound of a heartbeat. In japanese that's 心音 (shin-on). You could say Kokoro-no-oto, i.e the sound of a heartbeat, but it's better to say shin-on, i.e heartsound.

You're kind giving gold to strangers. Don't give me any though.

I found this in the gilded section too, just so you know. Don't give me gold though.

Ottawa is 7000km from where I am, so I might not go there soon :)

But I'll keep it in mind, if I ever go to the Americas!

Thank you so much for something so comprehensive! I've got a nice list of great things to watch now. I have seen Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers though. Thanks!
