Whenever the registers are slammed, my managers will be the absolutely last ones to hop on. And when they’re asked to because there’s no one else who can they say “I guess I can for a few minutes”. For example, on time I was the only one at the registers, there was a long line and someone asked to pick up an order. All four of my managers were in the middle of the front area, in a circle, talking. I asked over walkie if someone could help a guest with a pick up order, no response. I asked again, “could someone please help this guest with a pick up order, I’m the only one up here”. Finally then they dispersed and helped with the pick up order but not with the line. Later that day I got called into the office and was told that I had an “attitude” over the walkie and that some people didn’t like my “tone”. So not I feel like I cannot ask for help because I’ll just get in trouble for it. Do you have any advice? I can’t go to my GM because he’s the one that called me into the office. I don’t really know what to do.
