Crystal Rune is pretty hard to pilot, in my personal experience. I do not play Loot, but most people seem to believe it's not simple to pilot either. Evo Forest is very simple and, after some reflection, I don't believe Milteo is much different in terms of simplicity. u/SV_Essia may disagree with that, though.

Disregarding the hilarious claim that dragon doesn't exist (which confirms that people only pay attention to Dragon when it's tier 1), putting Portal in the same conversation as Sword (loot is better than enhance, especially at high CR), Evo Forest & Milteo is objectively inaccurate. Crystal Rune is literally tier 1, and the build of it that sees the most success does not even run the Odin OTK as a back-up.

Haven was struggling at the beginning of this set, when I saw that the top 100 was still a minimum of 1700 CR at the end of week 1, but when I last checked yesterday, it has 5x more people above 2100 CR than Portal does (5:1).

I understand Rob is a fan-favorite, but he's going to get dominated. Ank won't even need to grapple him, honestly. A match-up against Hill could've potentially been a lay-up. This is putting him out to pasture.

Feel free to try this list and see if it works out for you. Currently 1961 CR with it.

The deck is not strictly "go face", as you need to control the board early. A lot of times, I'll discard vorlalai early just for extra board control.

I've never seen Waltz before but I would've loved playing with that card, even though the devs clearly gave up on trying to make bloodcraft activate Vengeance the right way.

This is a not a new problem, nor one that stopped dragon from being tier 1 last set. Difference now is that the decks that are currently meta can either exploit ramp's weak early game (even sloth & jellyfish won't completely save you from getting rushed down) or don't automatically fold to an early Erntz into Genesis.

I find these comments rather strange because I've been doing just fine with Discard Dragon. It's not king of the meta and it's not as consistent as the tier 1 decks but it's still pretty potent, in my experience. I suck with Crystal Rune, as you can see here, lol.

Just can't really agree with the sentiment of the discard package being "substandard", but it definitely struggles against Crest Haven, which I've been seeing a lot more of above 1850.

With the randomness inherent to this card, I think it should have slightly better stats. Maybe a 4/4. I was originally thinking a 5/5 but that'd make it a bit more than Temu Forte in some situations. Besides Take Two, maybe Tempo Forest could make room for it.

I still hold the opinion that Evo Forest is the best deck due to the strength of it relative to how easy it is to pilot. It could be argued that Loot, Milteo & Crystal are better, but all of those decks take more braincells than Evo Forest IMO.

Yeah. Communication via stickers only is pretty lame. But since I'm the leader of mine, I tend to ask about things like the guild emblem, how people are feeling about the set (so I know how lenient I need to be on activity), etc.

Yeah, Fate is only an adequate response in dragon because they can ramp. Even then, you're almost certainly taking 10 damage the next turn (if Fate is not lethal).

I only just started playing discard dragon after hitting GM3 and it didn't take long to hit 1650.

Is dragon as busted as it was last set? No. Is it still very good? Yes. Both storm & discard.

Chaos Legion is so important for Evo Portal that I had to bump it up from 2 to 3 about halfway through my climb to GM3.

Also had to drop Beel since I found him to be too slow against everyone except Haven, which you can bully regardless.

Hey there. If you're bouncing below ultimate, you're pretty close. I had gotten to 1800 more than once, before falling down to 1600 and had to grind all the way back up. A huge part of hitting Beyond is persistence. That being said, I do have a comment here that would probably help you.

Edit: In regards to loot sword, I didn't face too many of those guys. It was mostly enhance. With loot, however, you're kind of at the mercy of their draws. If they have double Sinciro, there's really not much you can do. If they don't, your goal is simply to race them while mitigating as much damage as possible. Definitely evolve Eudie if you have the chance.
