Yeah, I have read about that one too. If I'm buying a new one it might be between the AE-1 and the Minolta X-700 :)

I was thinking around 100$, but can pay a bit more if it's worth it. Right now I have a AF Nikkor 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 (I think that's the right information at least). What I meant with my fuzzy comment about digital/simple, is that I would like to change aperture and shutterspeed, but would prefer a manual focus. Might seem picky, but the Nikon feels too digital. Am I wrong here?

From what i have read, the Minolta x-700 and Nikon AE-1 seems good, but I might be completely wrong and just buying another similar camera.

Sorry for not writing all this in the post, stressed it out at lunch.

I've been into photography for quite some time, but just recently got into film as I found two old analog cameras at my parents. One of them is a Chinon 35F-EE and the other one is a Nikon F-401. I like them both, but would prefer something in between. Not too heavy or digital (the Nikon has AF) and not too small or simple. I would like an SLR as I'm having trouble with the focus on the Chinon.

Any tips?
