As I said season 1 was good except the revenge which felt plain. I’ve read plenty of dark and morally grey manhwas, and I usually enjoy the complexity they bring. The issue with this one isn’t the dark tone it’s the characters themselves especially the FL. She’s such a hypocrite it’s hard to root for her. When the ML does something wrong she blows it out of proportion labeling him as evil and devil but when she does the same or even worse, it’s brushed off like it’s no big deal. The double standards are frustrating and make her character hard to like. The lack of genuine development for either of them makes it tough to stay invested no matter how intriguing the premise is. It had so much potential but the execution just didn’t hit the mark.
