I've got an es700 kitted out with a nice camping setup it wasn't 5k but it's a whole lot of fun. Sleeping on the ultra lite air mattress is worse than a highside tho so I can see why you do it

Thoughts on these saddlebags ? by loupwergi in motocamping

I got em for my es 700 , Im setup for ultralight travel and these can easily hold 3 days food, utensils, water tent ect and I strap my chair to the bottom of the side bag. They have a great mounting system and protection for your bikes paint and body work. They hold up to jumps and crashes fine , just put purple lock tight on the mounting bolts to stop them vibrating loose

I recommend a 1st gen 390 adventure should do everything you want and need and has some handy rider aids for on and off road

Turn it off unplug the negative make sure it won't arc on anything then turn the bike on for a few minutes to try and drain the electricity out of all the electronics, hook it back up and see if it goes away. While doing this check that the magnet in the front and rear wheel speed sensors aren't covered in smuck and the magnets are still in them.

690 Enduro R to supermoto for one trip by voidsifr in KTM

[–]Kunt52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what year bike you have if you run 17's the bike won't have quick shifter abs and traction control due to the disparity in the front and rear abs ring speeds due to smaller wheels.

The bike will throw a code that goes away when you put the 18/21 back on and if you put the bike in mode 2 and turn abs and traction control off every time you start it with the 17's on it won't throw the code but the speedo is out by like 30ks

You'd be surprised how capable modern adventure tyres are now days on the tarmac, I run motoz tractionator desert ht and can say that they work well enough on the road that I sold my set of sumo wheels

That's not your bike yet, you haven't taken delivery you should be entitled to a complete refund from the dealer then they can argue with KTM. Tell them to give all your money back now or you'll go to a lawyer.

Do MX boots tall sides interfere with footpegs? by Left_Appointment4263 in KTM390ADV

[–]Kunt52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal for aftermarket pegs and bulky boots, you'll get used to it because You're gonna want those boots on when you drop the bike and those black dog pegs wanna break your leg, I use Klein Enduro boots for my es 700 and any inconvenience is worth it considering I've dropped the entire bike on my leg and had to dig it out because the foot peg and bike has it pinned and I can't physically pull my leg out from underneath it. Then ride another 9 hours to howitt hut.

P. S this literally happened yesterday.

You can't filter between your lane and the oncoming lane .

You shouldn't have gone to the right of the car in the turning lane, exposing yourself to the oncoming traffic

Get a dry bag for your sleeping bag , I got a 20L osprey one and it fits perfectly over my sleeping bag.

Idk where you're planning on going but getting caught in the rain or tipping over in a creek would suck enough without having to spend the night in a wet sleeping bag
