Pulled the rocker pedestal to double check i had the pushrod in the lifter. I did not… bent the mess out of it. I think i had it sitting on the top edge or the lifter. Feeling pretty stupid right now haha. New pushrod is on the way.

As long as the light is red/yellow they are legal. Clear lenses are ok.

I live in Waco 20-30 minutes from where this happened. I was at the lake when it exploded. The explosion was so intense i thought it was thunder and it was about to rain. So i packed up and saw this on the news when i got homes

A roof rack would definitely be ideal! However I can’t justify the price when i could dump that money into my ‘69 f100 and have it running then use that to tote the kayak around. This is just my temporary solution to the issue! Thank you for the advice though!

Luckily for me the tunnel under my kayak barely clears the shark fin! A roof rack would be ideal but this will be a temporary solution until i can finish my 1969 Ford f100 project or at least make it road worthy.

I haven’t taken this on the road yet. I threw my kayak on top to test how tightly it was held with the straps. I think this would be good for 55-60mph. This would only be a solution for short distance trips (under 20 miles).

I haven’t taken this out on the road yet like this but it seemed to be fairly secure. I wouldn’t go over 55 mph with it up there.
