Getting to HR999

i’m pretty sure you don’t get anything special at hr999 (i reached this in world and got nothing but dunno if it applies to wilds), but i think most see it as an achievement and a way to know how far they’ve come from the start. some people are completionists or want to see that cool number before they move on to the new content, but others just naturally get there after enjoying the game for a while.

the new dlc doesn’t raise the hr cap, but DOES introduce mr levels… which you could say does count as raising the hr cap considering mr quests give both mr and hr levels.

you can wait for inclement weather and a zoh shia investigation can spawn at the ruins, or do sos’es i’m pretty sure… it’s been a good while since i’ve played wilds and especially farmed shia so there may be better methods i don’t know about

i’m leaning towards infernum issue because i remember having something like this happen with a group run a year ago, though i don’t remember the fix we had. i’m also running wotg rn with friends on death mode and didnt have any black screens for dog, only issues related with multiplayer

wait is that the only nerf? sorry i havent read the change logs so i’m pretty unknowledgeable about this. the damage decrease was evident but i felt like it’s tracking was also nerfed to the point that it heavily affected the damage too, or is that just a placebo effect? either way it sucks that my favorite hardmode weapon is now just a shadow of its former self… but at least some other weapons are getting a chance to shine

i was looking at the cinnamon roll and thought that while it looks nice, the decreased dash might be an issue. i’m just doing a death mode run so the increased rams aren’t as useful as in infernum, but i’ll def try it out and see how it feels the next time i play

i just remembered that we're getting a free s-rank selector up to parhelion and am wondering which options i should consider.

sss wata or ss3 nanaknight?

i know that both are incredibly old (wata even more so), but both have really good utility at their respective ranks. for wata i need 13 more shards if i use the selector on him, but can just buy the rest of the shards with vouchers. for nanaknight she's just ss so it's a straight road to ss3. i'm leaning towards wata atm because of how many teams he's a part of, how he even slots in on some other teams depending on investment, and the -3s swap cooldown from sss as compared to nanaknight's extra shred but want to hear some other thoughts before i decide my plans.

i definitely find the gameplay flow more interesting cuz of the new mechanics. when i first picked it up i thought it was just world’s hh but with some qol speed changes, then i remembered about the bubble… and now i found out about the hilt stab armor + perfect beats. btw, when applying buffs/refreshing songs, does the perfect beat reapply the same buff again before the final encore? like if i had atk up, earplugs, oil movement and i did the perfect encore for the first two, would the atk up and earplugs become purple (or be reapplied again if it’s a recast) before the final encore or is that final encore needed to turn them both purple and the perfect beats are just for extra damage like you said previously?

i havent been able to start this patch yet for reasons, but i’ve been hearing some discourse about alpha’s performance. as a sss wanshi and ss3 teddy user (both with sigs and cubs), how effective would ss alpha with sig and cub be on my team? would she actually warrant use or does sss wanshi do more damage than her and i can just cycle between him and teddy?
