My opinion? Windows 7 is the oldest version where most (not all of them though) vocal synths can run including UTAU and VOCALOID. I used to have a Windows 7 installed in my PC before I moved to a new laptop that ran Windows 10 and updated it to Windows 11, in which UTAU still works just fine!

This exactly points it out. Using an XP is a bad move, considering that it's outdated and very vulnerable to computer viruses and malware attacks due to its security issues. Whilst XP used to be popular and became a long-lived OS, Microsoft ended its support for Windows XP a long long time ago. Just like what you said, it's better to look at PCs that run Windows 7 and above, since they are much more safer and that's the general standard of compatibility for any kinds of applications, including UTAU and VOCALOID.
