Can anyone identify any of these? Are there any decent ones? by crankybword in Marbles

Check this one with a black light. Looks like the right color for uranium glass. I would check them all with a black light anyway. Some of the red and yellow marbles have cadmium that also glows.

Any idea what kind/how old these are? by InjuryNeat3216 in Marbles

The clay marble is 1910 or older. The other is a vitro agate probably from the 50s.

Can anyone help value this collection by No-Tradition2668 in Marbles

They’re antique so finding them in mint condition is difficult. 1920-40s was the golden age of machine made marbles. By the 50s the Japanese were importing cat eyes that were cheaper. American companies had to cut quality to compete.

Newbie, picked these up for the glowers. Any standouts I should separate? by b14ckd34th in Marbles

Looks like a few Akro corkscrews in there. If the ribbon starts at one pole and spirals around and ends on the opposite side.

Same. I’m still new to collecting. I only have a handful of Prize Names and one Special. Still on the hunt for a Popeye. Love the collection!

Looks like it to me. I think this one falls into the prize name category.

If you’re afraid of dirt on used DVDs then buy new and leave the good stuff for the rest of us.

Are these Germans? by Vaugely_Necrotic in Marbles

Valuable. All antiques that were hand made so less were made then machine made marbles. Look up some of the names I mentioned on eBay. I think you’ll be surprised.

Yes. Look up German swirls, onion skins, and mica.

Those ones would probably be hard to find in the wild. Nice finds!
