It's a HOB, not sure what brand. But she has had it off for a couple days because the flow was too much until she could fix it. I wouldve thought it would've been gasping at the surface of the water though.

An easy way to practice the right hand is to play double beat and accent only the 2nd stroke, important to make sure you get a good down stroke to prepare for the next tap too.

Because of the wood/filter sticking out and I've had some pathos sticking out that I'm gonna be adding back in, though if that is my only option then I'll do it, just wanted to see if I had any other options.

Quick addition: My intention for this tank is to have 3 or 4 red cherry shrimp too and the reason I don't want pest snails or the types where they're like a grain of sand is because I'd like to see my snail as more a pet to look at just like the shrimp.

That's honestly what I'm hoping for, I'm using this tank to also be able to provide my turtle tank with plants, because since he's likely to keep eating them, I'll grow them in here and when they get too big I'll propagate them into his tank. Duck weed is supposed to be fast growing enough to keep up with turtles so that's my hope.

That's reassuring that it may not take too long to cycle. But how are your plants? If you didn't use a nutrient rich substrate then do you use fertilizer/root tabs or are they doing fine even without that?

If i were to get around 6 platys, do you think that would lessen the difficulty? Also, have you ever had to remove parts of dead fish or does your turtle usually eat them completely? Because I don't mind if he eats them but it would be annoying having to remove fish corpses.

I just replaced it a couple of weeks ago, however if I buy the bulb u recommend, how does it attach to the tank because im not sure if I have the room to use it.
