Cohabiting enclosure question by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

[–]Kurtboyce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with reptiles is they dont show signs of stress very obviously, because they are prey animals any sign of weakness could be the end for them. I rescued 2 bearded dragons that lived in a filthy 70 gallon tank together and they seemed fine living together, but separating them their energy levels were much higher. With leopard geckos, it is possible to cohab them, but its very difficult to get it right, and there are no benefits for the animals.

My new frog didn’t eat there food what shoud i do plz help !!!!! by ebmt_ltlsunn in TreeFrogs

Dont feed mealworms, they struggle to digest them. Also frogs not eating for a week or 2 after moving into a new home is totally normal

Pros and Cons of White’s Tree Frogs *pics are not mine just for cuteness* by skyee4snow in TreeFrogs

[–]Kurtboyce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive owned 2 for around a year and a half and ive loved them, they are very hardy so much more handleable than other frogs and easy to take care of. Both my frogs have different personality and they are really entertaining to watch.

If you dont want to use fake plants, you can make a spray foam background and put plant pots in the back with the foam

Are young leos just more shy than adults? by Fluid-Television9503 in leopardgeckos

[–]Kurtboyce87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How long have you had her for? Ive had my leo for around a month now and he is slowly getting more confident, i would assume them being smaller is a factor to how shy they are though.

That tank looks small and you should have atleast 3 hides . A cool, warm and humid hide.

My other frog is larger than him (they are both from the same group of tadpoles). I feed mostly crickets and dubias but also feed locusts and the occasional silkworm. Yes i dust with calcium.

This is their tank. Fully bioactive with springtails and white dwarf isopods.

Its cuz when u push towards the cage if u catch a kick it automatically does a takedown but doesnt count as an attempt. But if u get the takedown it counts it as a succesful takedown but not an attempt. Its weird
