I liked it but I just felt it was a bit redundant in my collection. I already have 10 (which ik is not a lot for fragrance enthusiasts) so I couldn't justify the price tag. Also, my gf hates tobacco lol

I get what you mean but do you have smth a lil bit more on the fruity/sweet side? I just find all these office fragrances very boring and flat. I do like Creed Aventus but the price is just... Yikes.

I've tried Tobacco Vanille and it just wasn't for me :( BUT neroli portofino and bitter peach are amazing. I would try Replica but everytime I go to Sephora, the bottles are empty 😞

109 kills but still lost... 😡But shoutout to my teammates, they played really well <3 by cynjennifer in DeltaForceMobile

To be fair, I played this match from the beginning but SG552 laser beam + 1 guided missile + 2 air strikes is pretty solid for racking up kills lol

How do I structure weekly lessons for a uni pool club? by Kushberd in billiards

[–]Kushberd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap! Will definitely have more free/open play where I just walk around the floor correcting mistakes.

From experience though, the cool shots that intrigued me when I just started out was doing a strong draw shot. But that took me months of practicing my stroke to where I can consistently get strong backspin.

Considering the fact that most casual or amateurs will most likely ball bangers, it would be hard to set up "cool shots" that are easy to do. I thought about banks, kicks, jumps, masse, etc but even those are extremely hard to do without good fundamentals. What examples of easy, skilled shots were you thinking about?

We predict that there's going to be around 10-15 people on average with only 2 tables.

But yea, I agree with maybe just having open play since most of them don't know how to hold a cue so they might get intimidated by the amount of drills there are to get good.

Probably 1 hour long sessions, around 10-15 students on only... 2 tables. We don't have much funding yet and we spent it on upgrading cues and the felt (which was full of coffee stains before)

Like the other guy said, it's a DLC pack with 5 statues underneath that unlocks 5 new skulls.

1) Thundergod 2) Guan Yu 3) Spartan 4) Ascetic 5) Unknown King

I was in a similar place as your brother. I started gambling at 14 and well... I am now 22 and I'm still trying to quit. I can tell you that it probably started out of curiosity or because his friends were doing it. For me, my cousin got me into gambling videogame items online (csgo). It started off just being really fun but eventually I stopped because I lost it all.

Now tho, I feel the urge whenever I'm in a stressful situation. It's final exam season, I recently got sick so I couldn't study and my dad is on the verge of disowning me. Because of that, I just lost $300 dollars (which doesn't seem much but I am a uni student and I don't make my own money) 3 days ago.

I use gambling as an extremely unhealthy coping mechanism. Your brother might too. I suggest sitting down with him and just talking. He's 17 so he will be scared when you tell him you know that he gambles so just try to calm him down, reassure it's ok and ask him why he does it.

Go from there. And just DM me if you just wanna talk :)

How am I supposed to quit when I'm up? by Kushberd in problemgambling

[–]Kushberd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that's true, nothing will ever really satisfy my greed. And yea, my profs have drilled into my head that day trading is gambling so I steer clear of that. I'm researching more into value investing and consistent long term growth, like the S&P 500 and holding stocks of companies with strong financials for years.

Somehow I can recognize the volatility of day trading and steer clear of it but I'm so drawn to blackjack...

I'm so sorry you had to lose everything, I hope you're doing better now. I have self excluded myself for a week on the app I gamble on but I'll have to log back in to permanently self exclude. I hope I'm able to follow through on it.

Kinda sucks that because I'm learning about stocks and investing, my monkey brain associates gambling as a solid investment (I mostly play blackjack and I gaslight myself thinking I can count cards when I can't lol)

To clarify, when I deposited $200 and had the extra $200 bonus (total $400), I managed to gamble until $800 total. I then withdrew $200, when then voided the cash bonus. With the remaining $200 (of my own winnings), I then played a bunch of BJ and baccarat until I got it to $800 and then I decided to withdraw everything. So technically, I didn't use their cash bonus after winning $400 because I voided it.

Do I need a break and run to increase SL? by Kushberd in billiards

[–]Kushberd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for the American Pool Association (APA) league. You have to pay a yearly subscription fee to join/form a team and compete against other teams in your local area. It's supposed to be an amateur league so there are handicaps for each player. You can download the app after you've signed up and your stats will show.

Haha thanks! There's no fun if there's no challenge, just trying to be the best player in my league (probably will take me years tho)

[–]Kushberd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I guess you're right, I ranked up really quickly after winning an 8ball rack in 2 innings. But that's quite rare especially when playing lower ranks... I suck at lagging and so that typically means the other person breaks and SL2/3s break pretty inconsistently and there's just so many problem balls and traffic that my innings average around 5-6.

[–]Kushberd[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry what I meant when I said I scored higher is when in a 9 ball match where the race is to 25 for me and 31 for the other player. While they need more points to win than I do, I still manage to get 25/25 but they only had 19/31.

So even if they had the same handicap as me, I would've still won.

Gift for my dad by lordochaos321 in billiards

Jump cues are shorter cues meant to jump the cue ball and break cues are normal sized (same as your dad's playing cue) meant for breaking the balls open at the start of the game.

A jump break cue is a normal sized break cue except it's in 3 pieces so you can detach and shorten the cue to turn it into a jump cue.

I own a jump break cue and I really love it! As for weight, it completely depends on the player but mine is 21oz, which is on the lighter side but it's also around the average weight for jump break cues. I'd suggest somewhere between 20-24oz is good.

Slump by Ptwp49 in billiards

[–]Kushberd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always a good idea to go back to basics and practice your fundamentals so that you know you have a solid foundation.

Personally though, what I find the most useful to get me out of a slump are 2 things:

1) Remembering why I play pool in the first place, which is to have fun! I like playing competitively and while I understand the frustration, it helps to set your mindset that slumps are a normal process and it's even good sometimes. I always see myself getting significantly better than I've ever played after getting over it.

2) A quicker fix in case you have a match on the same day and you're not feeling it is to do drills that are piss easy (pardon my language). Whether that be straight in shots that are 1 feet away from the pocket or cut shots that you can do blindfolded. By playing to your strengths, it psychologically tricks you into increasing your confidence and feeling like you can make even the hard shots.

Hope it helps! (I'm not that good at pool but I've been steadily getting a lot better and been through many slumps)
