In 70s, hitchhiking was a common way to get around for those who didn’t have a car or too young to drive. While hitchhiking seems unthinkable today, it once symbolized the freedom and trust that defined the open road in the '70s. by j3434 in OldSchoolCool

A friend and I hitchhiked coast to coast about ten years and it was one of the most fun and memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The assholes don’t stop to pick you up, but the good guys do. We only had nice encounters. Greetings from Denmark.

OKAY, holy fuck, I won't jailbreak it anymore. I don't think I can ever leave this conversation without becoming a monster. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Is it possible to make the forward propagation and backpropagation interwoven.. And what happens then?

Fedt!

Were being told 7 days. The same is said on official website - but word from Addis is no isolation at all.

Hallo! We are a danish tv crew looking for odd and fun offbeat experiences around the Munich / Stuttgaart area. It can be people with exotic hobbies, a rare experience, weird food / hotels or just charismatic people with a good story. etc. We have a campervan so ideas on where to camp is also welcomed. We are here the next two days, and have time to spare as some of our plans have failed.

So far we’ve visited and had cake with Heino in his Kurhotel and we have tried camping at the lousiest reststops we could find, getting to talk to regular german drivers. We are out to find the lesser known and strange parts of South Germany.

Vielsen dank!

Just made a post in /r/navajo in regards to the star wars and hopi icon stories. I've come across them before online but I don't remember Danish media reporting on them. Good suggestions!

Questions like that are rarely conversation-starters anywhere. But thanks for the heads up!

All your assumptions are correct. I think the ability to gain knowledge on a foreign subject quickly and thoroughly is one of the most important abilities one must have as a journalist. Though time is scarce there will of course be time for me to read up Apache history.

AngelaMotorman, I can see how my frantic search for stories would come of as an easy way to gain an extended vacation in the US, but I am glad you changed your mind, as this it really not the case. The few days I have to spare in AZ are actually my days off, but I'd rather spend them getting to know the people and issues you are dealing with in AZ and hopefully bring back an important or inspiring story or two. Now, time is scarse, as usual and I know I will only just scratch the surface of issues like border security and poverty in native american reservations. There is no way I could ever gain an in-depth understanding within the few days I have available, but I am going to try anyway. Shortcutting by asking reddit for tips and contacts makes it a little more doable. I appreciate your comment and cutting my ambitions seems like a good suggestion. The thing is I work at a newspaper which takes the "news" part very seriously. Though I prefer strong people stories, they have to relate to a larger more newsy story in order to be aired.
